Career update: I’m excited to share that I’ll be joining @mastra as a Platform Engineering Intern, starting next month! AI agents are increasingly becoming distributed, stateful systems and I’m excited to work on the infrastructure that runs them in production. Huge thanks to @calcsam @abhiaiyer for the opportunity.

Galaxy annihilator.
I need an aggressively masculine name for a tiny Chihuahua puppy. Nothing cute. I want a name that sounds like a 60-year-old Russian hitman trapped in a 2-pound dog’s body. Please help. I’m desperate.

Thank you so much everyone for all your love and kind words <3 <3 . I was kinda obsessed with this dream and really manifested it so hard. I just knew I had to do something about it because if not me then who? All of those internships, freelancing, consulting it really did help a lot. And somehow all of this became possible because I was sharing my learnings, creating and working on things here. One dream ticked off. Now time to see some new dreams and set new aims. Life is Good.

the next version of cloud infrastructure will need to be able to branch infrastructure top to bottom in milliseconds Not just sandboxes, but also databases, networking, VPCs, IAM etc. simulations environments are the next test environments

Lets go @AamishBeg 👏 we use observational memory a lot at Mastra so we feel firsthand how well it works, but it's eye opening to see it in concrete numbers with detailed categorized breakdowns at different context lengths. Hell yea Aamish! Super exciting to see that even with top scores, there are clear areas to take it even further
Agent memory gets harder the longer a chat runs. We wondered: how well does Observational Memory hold up at 100K, 1M and 10M tokens? So we ran it on BEAM, the long-term memory benchmark, with default settings. Turns out it has the top published scores at 100K and 1M:

wanna become a billionaire ? Go build something that a billion people need.
Anthropic's S-1 shows who gets rich at $2 trillion. The filing implies about 16.9B fully diluted shares. At $2T, that is roughly $118 a share. The cap table at $2T: 1️⃣ Employees: $336B in options and RSUs, for a team of about 5,300 2️⃣ Amazon: about $217B from $6.2B of convertible notes, if fully converted 3️⃣ The 7 co-founders: $199B combined, roughly $28B each 4️⃣ Google: $112B to $140B, on an estimated 5.6% to 7% stake 5️⃣ Public Benefit Fund: $100B, a 5% stake 6️⃣ Menlo Ventures: about $30B on a reported 1.5% stake 7️⃣ Spark Capital: about $14.6B on roughly $777M invested The details worth a second read: In 2024, Anthropic granted 1.28B options at $1.30. At $118, that one year of grants is worth about $149B on paper. In April, holders sold 179.9M shares at $25.91 in a tender. Dario and Daniela Amodei were among the sellers. Weeks later, Series H priced at $58.90. The FTX estate sold its stake in 2024 for about $1.3B. At $2T, those shares would be worth around $50B. The founders pledged 80% of their equity to charity. The S-1 calls the pledges voluntary and revocable. As an investor, the Amazon line is the one I keep rereading. The structure of the check mattered more than its size.

Today we're excited to announce span queries and span groups in Mastra! We started with trace-level queries; now we're diving to span-level which is more granular AND more performant. Filter/group by time range, span type, name, status, error, duration:

I like to look at claims like this in case I can improve Ghostty. I grabbed your source and immediately spotted the issue: your read loop overwrites a 64 KiB ring. Everything older is discarded unparsed per tick. You're faster because you're not actually terminal emulating. It means the number isn't a throughput number. In a kitten benchmark run at the rate you're claiming, roughly 6.6 MB arrives per 60 Hz tick and 64 KiB of it gets parsed. You're read(2)-ing 100% of the data and parsing about 1% of it. There are other minor issues (a small fixed scrollback in a preallocated ring buffer, no grapheme clustering, throwing away data like OSC 8 URIs, etc.), but the major one is simply that you're discarding ~99% of the input. For plain text, e.g. your cat benchmark, the final screen ends up looking right, but the scrollback is missing 99% of the file and each retained chunk starts mid-line. As soon as there are escape sequences in the dropped spans, your emulator is fully out of sync and invalid: a cut inside a CSI prints the parameters as text, and any SGR, mode, title, or alt-screen change in the gap is just... gone. FYI, this is why I don't like when people point at refterm as a terminal benchmark. refterm implements a TINY subset of what a terminal emulator must support, it's closer to a fast file reader, not a terminal emulator. I also don't mean any shade by this. I like to look at technology objectively to try to learn something and improve my own craft and work. So I'm sharing what I found. I modified your code very slightly to parse on every full buffer (rather than per tick). And the results are attached. Both use main commit in each repo at the time of this post. Note the graph is in log scale, the discrepancy between performance for things like Kitty images is measured in GB/s.
