I really hope this is true. But I also don't know what they are going to try to do whether they are allowed to or not. They aren't acting in good faith and the goal is to cast doubt and most importantly create problems where they can force their own solutions.
It IS alarming
People don't think well of Dems despite the success under Biden because of the media bias. The fact is it will happen again even if Dems are productive as long as their is a blatant bias in media. Which is why media is being consolidated. All news will be Fox News like
Charlie Cook: While many have long predicted that Democrats will enjoy a “blue wave” election, I think of it more as a “red undertow,” which will pull many Republicans under and significantly trim the margins for many others.
A blue wave implies an endorsement or affirmation of Democrats and their policies. But Democrats' brand is still in tatters from 2021-2025, particularly 2021 and 2022, when they not only had President Biden in the White House but also majorities in the Senate and House. Fortunately for Democrats, this election will in most cases not be about them.
It will, of course, be mostly about the occupant of the White House. Over the last 90 days, President Trump’s political standing has transitioned from very unpopular to toxic and now to radioactive. cookpolitical.com/analysis/n…
This couldn't be a better example of MAGA mindset by leftists. Not only a hypocritical lack of self awareness but it's based on reasoning that it such an advanced strategy nobody else can truly understand.
Sarah Longwell and Neera Tanden don't understand the difference between Harris-Liz Cheney campaigning and Mamdani meeting with Trump, because Mamdani is being politically smart.
Campaigning with Liz Cheney was a symptom of Harris's terminal campaign decision to move right, fomented by Tanden and Longwell. Comparatively, Mamdani has POTUS - the man who could wreck his mayoralty - on bended knee.
The Harris-Cheney collab was morally repugnant and politically stupid. However, Mamdani meeting with Trump is effective realpolitik and has few moral trade-offs, as Trump is doing what Mamdani wants.
They fail to grasp the dynamic for the same reason a JV coach can't understand NFL play calling — they're wildly out of their league.

MAGA pretends they don't like nonwhite immigrants because they and their children supposedly won't assimilate. It's a lie. They don't like them because they're nonwhite immigrants.

I miss the days where people were embarrassed to be antisemitic and racist in public.
I am glad to see they are being proactive. This is a test run for both parties in 28
Scoop: Democrats mobilize unprecedented effort to counter midterm sabotage
- “New Battlefield Project” will deploy tens of thousands of 'democracy protectors'
- training will emulate ICE activists in MN
– Pushing for early, *in-person* voting
– Broader effort has included election integrity table top w/ *Hillary Clinton & Holder

The crowd who screeches into the void about the deep state sure is quiet about being force-fed undisclosed propaganda from a DOD influencer program.
Here is an example of why Piker is such a good representative of leftists. Pure over the top theatrics by someone who doesn't seem too stable.
Hasan Piker is having a total meltdown on his live stream over Jon Ossoff.
Despite claiming he uses his words "very carefully," his incoherent sentences are just impossible to follow, though it's clear from his blabbing that he isn't happy.
(Warning: foul language)
Is this who I need to share a big tent with?
What a patriot! A nice lil humble brag about how he played his non minor part (for billionaire Koch) to destroy the Republican party and now salivating at the thought of same thing happening to Dems.

My condolences to @hasanthehun
So objectively pathetic and unintentionally funny I am surprised he hasn't acted like it's a bit to save a bit of face.
It's official we know why he spends his whole career shitting on Dems, Republicans and their propaganda machines are too mean.
✨ @hasanthehun's message to @TheDemocrats: "I know we don't always see eye to eye on a lot of stuff, but you have to literally, at some point, I know you don't want to do this, defend me. Not because you love what I have to say, not because I'm part of this coalition, even though I am, whether you like it or not, but you are going to inevitably have to say, 'this is a ridiculous that we're having because the real conversation Republicans don't want to have is the cost of living crisis.' That requires you to basically to take the L a little bit and maybe be a bit more honest about how I'm not this dangerous, toxic radical force."
Democrats should be very vocal about demanding answers and access. Republicans should be hounded and forced to answer for not only this but why we are in this war
🚨EXCLUSIVE: Military families and service members are now describing horrific conditions across MULTIPLE ships: human waste flooding bathrooms, virtually no food, water or soap, months without port calls, exhausted crews, and no end in sight.
This crisis appears to be far bigger than just the USS Abraham Lincoln. meidasnews.com/news/not-just…
"Oh yeah, let's meet up in real life to settle this" has got to be one of the cringiest most pathetic things I have seen from a politician.
Keep acting like you are 15 and toxic dipshit. That should go well

Another brave citizen telling a gang of lying, cowardly ICE agents to go fuck themselves, this time with a gun in her face:
If they carted this president away in a catering truck and were willing to let reporters be a target on a decoy plane without saying a word about it, imagine the terror threat the US is facing right now and this shit administration wouldn't warn the public.

Why do I feel so strongly about Hasan Piker’s rise in the Dem party? I started Moms Demand Action the day after the Sandy Hook School shooting in 2012. Simultaneous to the success of the org I started, I watched right wing extremism rise in opposition.
Alex Jones had been running InfoWars and broadcasting conspiracy theories for years. He had a substantial but relatively niche audience. But that changed after the mass shooting, which he used to promote the false claim that the massacre was a hoax or “false flag” operation.
Clips of Jones lying about Sandy Hook circulated widely, including among people who weren't regular InfoWars viewers. His confrontational style made him go viral. Then, InfoWars began selling supplements and other products alongside Jones's political/conspiracy programming. Free Speech Systems, the company behind InfoWars, generated more than $500 million in revenue from 2012–2022.
By 2016, Jones was one of the most recognizable figures in the broader American right-wing media ecosystem.
Extremists on the left are now following the same virulent, highly profitable model:
Normalize extreme rhetoric by repeating inflammatory claims.
Encourage an “us vs. them” worldview by leading audiences to believe “others” are fundamentally bad, dishonest, or threatening.
Turn outrage into engagement.
Foment anger and mistrust via provocative content.
Mobilize an audience against people they criticize, resulting in harassment and harm.
Spread questionable or misleading information at enormous scale.
I don’t believe we should silence, deplatform, or socially destroy demagogues on either side of the political spectrum. Conversations are not the same as campaigning. But if Democrats can condemn harassment, misinformation, and dehumanizing rhetoric from the right, they should call it out it when it comes from demagogues on their own side, too.
The difference between the left and the right (until now) has been our willingness to think independently and recognize right from wrong, rather than blindly defend our own side. If we embrace Piker, we risk sacrificing our common ground, our credibility, and ultimately the base of our own party.
