Replying to @rcpsych
@rcpsych hi guys. I'm a BPD Peer Recovery Worker within the NHS and I'd love to know who wrote this advert? And who the heck proof read it and okay'd it for publication? Can someone please contact me regarding this as I find the wording totally unacceptable. Thanks.

Here's an update to a previous drawing of the #stressbucket
I have added community connection to the healthy coping tap. I feel we need to move away from centering individualised approaches to distress.
The trauma trigger tap is a different take on how our buckets can overflow

Next time your doctor tells you that you have a brain chemical imbalance, ask them to prove it. Ask them what the optimum level of the ‘brain chemical’ is supposed to be, and what yours are. Ask them how they know. Then ask them why they are prescribing you a medication for it.

The conclusion is that there was never any empirical support for the theories of professionals who wanted to exclude people with a bpd label from inpatient care and that extended care can be clinically beneficial without causing harm.

What fresh hell is this? The language is very stigmatising.
Is anyone under or have experience of these teams?

Have you been diagnosed with BPD or EUPD in the last 5 years?
Aged 18+ & living in the UK?
Would you like to take part in research about how the communication of this diagnosis may have affected your well-being?
Please contact Sophie (details in picture) to take part. Thank you!

There’s a real gap of providers in #Preston who will provide support in the community to people with enduring MH diagnosis. There NEEDS to be more providers who will provide this support. We are a city and yet we have around 4 providers 🙄in community

Time spent in hospital should not be more traumatic than the trauma that landed you in hospital in the first place.
Just learnt that in the UK we have dietitians and in the US they have dieticians...#dietitiansattheheart

Feeling so grateful to everyone who has pre-ordered my new book, 'Regulating Emotion the DBT Way', due out in September. You have pushed it to number 3 in the Amazon 'Hot New Releases' in #psychotherapy and #clinicalpsychology. Thank you! Xxx

> Not everyone is on Twitter and sees the conversations around stigma and the impact of the label or poor practice. There’s often a huge divide between ppl who are interested in this area specifically & the ppl who actually work with us in more general areas of Mental Health > – at Birmingham, England
