This is so sad. The median account was $170.
Why can’t the thieves skip all accounts under $100K like back in the good old days
JUST IN: The code that drained Polymarket accounts on 29th October was set to skip any account worth under $10, per Hudson Rock's read of the script. The drainer in June's Polymarket theft skipped anything under $100,000, per Source Defense.
The 2 thefts took about the same money. June took about $3.1 million from 11 wallets, per AMLBot. October took $2.73 million from 737 accounts in 1 hour, per Bitquery. The median account lost $171.
The October code ran inside DebugBear's page-speed monitor and reused the trading session each user already had open. Hudson Rock found no code that sends out a password, seed phrase or private key. Polymarket's own site build carries the note 'remove debugbear rum script'.
Polymarket says anyone hit 'will be made whole'. 38 minutes after it said the issue was fixed, 1 more account lost $10.99, per Bitquery.

Americans really hate it when you can’t treat workers like a a disposable object.
Europe has a tendency to over regulate but worker protections are good in principle.
European hiring rules are genuinely insane.
For example - if you own a company in the Netherlands and one of your employees gets sick, you are required to pay at least 70% of their wages for up to 2 years.
If they can't go back to work after 2 years and you haven't done enough for their reintegration, you pay their wages for 1 more year. And you can't fire them until after that extra year!

It should be re platformed for agents to ask questions to other agents.
And bounties paid in agent tokens.

Never understood the weird pride Germans have of their "Mittelstand" businesses - yeah, they remain middle-sized because you refuse/fail to grow them into large businesses and that's why your industrial base is currently being eaten alive by international competition.

Does this mean double of what we still have now or does this mean they’re NOT halving the usage like they said they were going to?
Very confusing messaging.
Day 25/
We are doubling all usage limits for all Pro 100/200/500 tiers and Business Premium, effective today.
We heard your kind feedback and won’t be reducing usage limits for Pro 200, so your Work and Codex usage will stay the same. We’re also going to continue offering extended limits for dots for now, and usage of your dot will still continue to be separate from your default usage.
And we'll of course also keep shipping better models and other efficiency improvements that increase your effective usage over time.

If you’re an engineer in market
Spoke with some friends who got offers both from Anthropic and OpenAI
Here’s what they used to prep:
1. hellointerview.com
2. prachub.com
3. darkinterview.com
4. 1point3acres.com/en - most unexpected for me, Chinese engineers leak the questions and you can buy them or if you share them you get virtual rice 🍚 not making it up lol
Also good for you to know Anthropic gives you the valuation at the time of the offer, while OpenAI is at the time when you start.
Oh and if you want more tips or want to consider fast growing smaller startups, I know a bunch who are hiring and I can intro you directly to the founding team 0 to 1 or 1 to 10 :)
Happy interviewing!

The tough job market for jr. devs is very real. My son graduated this year with a Computer Science degree and has yet to land a job. Hard to even secure interviews.
He's a native born US Citizen, able to get a security clearance, very thoughtful, careful and precise.
If anyone has an open position, hit me up. He'll do a great job, I guarantee it.
