There are many posts about people's criteria on whether they follow someone on X.
Below is what I believe to be the most important.
- Do they demonstrate critical thinking skills? This can be seen in how they chain their thoughts together and arrive at THEIR conclusion.
- Do they have their ego under control? This can be seen if they refrain from emotional outbursts and resorting to labeling as a means of communication. They are open to being wrong. One's ego is the source of so much suffering.
- Do they say things with respect? The world can use a little more respect for our elders, for a uniform, and in general, respect for our fellow human. However, it is important to be reminded that respect is something that may be given initially but can be quickly taken by what one says and does.
- Do they have courage or the self-confidence to say what is perhaps not popular? This is a big one. In today's digital world, it is easy to be bullied in to silence. It takes a special person to speak out in such an environment.
So, what about you? What are your criteria? Please criticize mine as we can all stand to be less wrong and only through thoughtful, well-constructed, non-egotistical and respectful dialogue will this be achieved.
Thanks for reading and Happy Monday! 😀
More Waymo’s = Way Mo Problems
We have all see the many videos of Waymo’s doing all sorts of crazy and at times very unsafe things.
Waymo is now pressured to put out more vehicles in places where Tesla’s Robotaxi is outpacing them. This will seek to only amplify their problems.
To be fair, there are definitely Robotaxis doing some silly things too but I believe this one of the reasons why Tesla has been scaling upward at the pace that they have.
Looks like Italy will get fast tracked for FSD/Robotaxi.
Very positive and constructive conversation with @elonmusk today.
Italy is looking with great interest at the opportunities offered by assisted driving technologies, with a focus on innovation and road safety, and supports a swift EU approval of Tesla Assisted Driving.
Thanks for the exchange, Elon!
I started telling folks about 3 years ago that in our lifetime diseases will be eradicated, genetic disorders will be cured, and that everyone can choose to live hundreds of years in the not too distant future. Our code is DNA and our cells are bioelectric. In the age of SI, the disease of aging is a solvable issue.
If I were to guess, I’d say within the next 10-15 years, everything I stated above will become a reality.
This however, does lead to some very interesting philosophical and social discussions. I’ll save that for another post, another time.
And the timing is perfect too, just as many countries are seeing a massive decrease in birth rates.
What a time to be a live!
Just don’t get hit by a bus! Then again, Tesla is working on brining that possibility to near zero with autonomous driving. :)
this might be my last normal tweet before biotech goes vertical
i'm not a whistleblower. I don't work at Lilly, Novo or any of the big labs
but there is a massive shift happening in human biology right now.
it's sitting in press releases and almost nobody reads them
the last 6 months alone:
- a once-daily pill roughly doubled median survival in metastatic pancreatic cancer (13.2 vs 6.6 months)
- a one-time gene editing infusion cut hereditary angioedema attacks 87%, and 62% of patients stayed attack-free and off all other prevention for 6 months
- a one-time gene edit for cholesterol dropped LDL up to 62%, and it held for over a year
- a personalized mrna vaccine beat keytruda alone in a 1,137 patient melanoma phase 3
- retatrutide hit ~28% weight loss in a phase 3
- an ai-designed drug entered phase 3
- a pill that regrows hair passed its second phase 3
- an immunotherapy that could let some rectal cancer patients skip surgery, chemo and radiation just got fda approved
- a man lived 271 days off dialysis on a pig kidney
- human cells were caught passing chromosome-sized chunks of DNA to their neighbors, and it changes how the neighbors behave
we are on the verge of an era where the human body is a software problem and the update cycle gets shorter everyday
stick around, it's going to get weird

I find it interesting that some people find Elon Musk so controversial.
I find so little controversy in him.
Meritocracy
Multiplanetary life
EVs
Solar energy
Common sense politics
Fight evil
Protect freedom of speech
Give stock to all children
Usher in abundance for all
Empower the people
Less power in government
Grok bot assistant
C-3PO in every household
Mobile coverage all over the world
Disaster zone Starlink donations
Safer roads
Saving lives
Which of these is controversial?
What’s better than free advertising by the Houston Police Officer’s Union for Tesla Cybercab?
Soon DUIs will be a thing of the past.
There has never been an excuse to drink and drive. With @Tesla expanding their Cybercab/Robotaxi services area across #Houston, there are more ways than ever to get home safely after a night out.
Plan ahead, make the smart choice, and never get behind the wheel impaired. #DontDrinkAndDrive
For months Optimus has been getting 24 hour training.
Speed of execution matters!
$TSLA
Tesla’s Optimus training regime leak.
Workers in its Palo Alto R&D facility have been holding “robot university” for many months already. Press got it wrong when they said it just started up.
Workers are wearing 24 lb suits with up to 40 cameras and grids of 3D sensors. To capture very detailed video and 3D fields of whatever the worker does.
There are multiple configurations.
They are given different tasks to do. They don’t know where the tasks come from.
Multiple squads are working on three shifts 24 hours a day. Similar efforts were seen at the Texas factory.
The data collection effort is immense.
A Tesla car only has nine cameras.
This leads to a data flywheel that is orders of magnitude more data than the car captured.
Separate teams are capturing home data, like making a sandwich, while other teams capture jobs on factory floor, like installing HVAC systems in cars.
Elon isn’t playing around.
I can’t tell you how I learned this.
>$400 is a psychological ceiling that $TSLA has faced many times. It looks like it has staying power this time.
Could this be the last time we see of it going below $400? 🤔🫣
The Tesla Optimus V3 demo will be perhaps as wild as the Tesla Roadster event.
Are you ready?

Replying to @elonmusk @ID_AA_Carmack
How about the robot is looking down while assembling a Swiss watch with one hand and then, without looking up, catches an oblique 100mph baseball with the other hand?
I also like the idea of juggling chainsaws on fire while riding a unicycle.
$TSLA fam we have broken through the $400 ceiling.
Congrats!

TESLA/SPACEXSI
The Special Committees have already been formed. But some don’t understand the ramifications.
♦️Some say the Special Committee has been formed, so do nothing.
BUT The Special Committee represents us shareholders. They can guess what we think, OR we could just tell them. Thousands of shareholders chose the latter and signed the Letter to ask for expeditious action. Inaction was costly to Tesla in losing out on xAI, we don’t want that to happen again.
♦️Some assume a deal is a given.
Elon Musk specifically said it is not a given on the SpaceX earnings call.
♦️Some debate timing.
It is NOW - or NEVER. The special committee was already formed. That ship SAILED. There won’t be special committees again. Failed merger attempts are just that, failed.
♦️Some ask us to dictate terms.
Even Elon Musk had to let the normal process work - and can’t dictate terms or timing or share exchange ratios. And he founded both companies. We can’t either. But we can, and did, ask that the ATH, and internal growth & revenue targets for Optimus & CyberCab be considered.
♦️Some say operate separately.
BUT The Joint Ventures aren’t meant to be permanent. They are pure bureaucracy, friction and liability. They were a framework that achieved a headstart on what talented engineers from both companies can do together. They are now the unnecessary part to be deleted. Elon Musk doesn’t need to work at all. His time should not be spent in conflict committees.
♦️Some say do nothing.
See again: You could let the Board guess, or you could just tell them shareholders are in favor.
50% + 1 of outstanding shareholders is an almost IMPOSSIBLY high bar. Broker non-votes count as NO. Many foreign investors can’t vote. The deal terms HAVE to be extremely compelling to turn undecided investors and institutions into YES VOTES. The Special Committee, and M&A Bankers/Lawyers have a fiduciary duty to gain the best terms they can.
A letter doesn’t change a share exchange ratio. A letter says that shareholders will mobilize - in the face of an compelling deal -to get over 50% outstanding shares voting in favor and get the deal over the line.
One could start a business today by purchasing Teslas to put on Turo and rent them out for the FSD experience.
Traveling to a new area is when FSD really shines. U can sit there and just enjoy the scenery and let your personal chauffeur drive u around in a much safer manner than u can while being distracted and in a new area.
FSD would know those new streets better than u do!

BREAKING: Turo and Tesla just announced the first verified Tesla FSD(Supervised) rental experience in the U.S., launching October 28.
• For guests: You can search for and book Teslas with FSD (Supervised) activated. FSD status is verified through a direct Tesla API integration.
• For hosts: Once a host links their Tesla account to Turo, FSD status is verified automatically and shown on eligible listings. Eligible U.S. hosts also get a free one-month FSD (Supervised) trial.
• Scale: Thousands of FSD-enabled Teslas are already on Turo. The Model 3 and Model Y are the 3rd and 4th most popular models on the platform this year.
• CEO quote: Turo CEO Andre Haddad says 55% of Americans, and 71% of Gen Z, are interested in self-driving tech for travel.
Such a simple video with so much meaning.
The friend part hit hard as it has recency for me as I have lost two of my closest friends in the last few years. One passed and the other developed a massive ego problem due to money and power.
Oddly enough, it was harder to cope with the loss of the friend that’s alive versus the one that is not.

“This was one of the most unapologetically bullish Tesla calls in many a moon.”
“. . . between that conference call commentary and shiny new product drops, Tesla appears to be dripping with growth potential. Count us in."
Canaccord Genuity analyst George Gianarikas says those who viewed @Tesla’s Q3 earnings call negatively are “flatly wrong.”
"The tea-leaf readers whispering about a 'subdued' tone on the call are flatly wrong, in our opinion. This was one of the most unapologetically bullish Tesla calls in many a moon.
Think about it, on the call management said that:
• EVs have their highest backlog in 4 years, with Musk adding that "...we are producing and delivering as many cars as we can...".
• FSD attach rates surged to over 75% of new vehicle deliveries in North America (nearly a 20% QoQ increase), with active subscriptions reaching 1.74 million. Whoa.
• High-volume manufacturing of Optimus is officially underway in Fremont, yielding the company’s first production-grade humanoid robots built on a standard assembly line.
• Energy storage demand is "very strong" with Musk adding "We're actually almost sold out of all Megapacks for 2027, and we're ramping production as quickly as possible to meet demand. We also expect gross margins on that to increase meaningfully."
• Not to mention recent launches of the Cybercab, Tesla Semi, and Roadster (with the latter unlikely to be needle-moving).
Call us biased, but between that conference call commentary and shiny new product drops, Tesla appears to be dripping with growth potential. Count us in."
George reiterated a $442 price target for $TSLA.
If you want to know who favors government that is not FOR the people, simply pay attention to who is congratulating Lula on his election steal in Brazil.
Thus far I’ve seen Soros and Bernie Sanders congratulate him. Who else?
Bravo to all those that contributed int he $TSLA community!
In under 48 hours, thousands of ordinary Tesla shareholders did something Wall Street rarely sees.
6,493 people. 17.5M+ shares (organizers' count). One letter heading to the board today: if the special committee negotiates a Tesla–SpaceX deal, bring it to a vote.
Not a hedge fund. Not an activist investor. Retail owners.
The letter puts it simply: Tesla needs chips and capital. SpaceX needs Megapacks.
Cars, batteries, robots, rockets, AI. Elon has been building one machine for 20 years. It just had different logos.
I'm a Tesla shareholder in Saint-Raphaël. Nobody knows the terms yet. But I know who showed up.

France has the highest public spending as a percent of their GDP. Higher than the Soviet Union.
France has the highest tax revenue in the world per GDP.
France has publicly paid healthcare, education, strong housing support, etc. And yet the people are burning and looting the country.
I will be sharing these two charts with a buddy of mine who said that all these tax cuts Trump is making is wrong because of our debt. He felt Trump should raise taxes.
This is a SPENDING issue. NOT a revenue or collecting issue.
Big government = socialism = failed state.
