My wife asked me to build her 3 apps
1️⃣ An AI period tracker.
2️⃣ Then she got pregnant — so she wanted an AI pregnancy companion.
3️⃣ After our son was born, she wanted an AI for postpartum + baby health.

I launched Inkly, an iPad app for learning English with Apple Pencil
We’ve reached 260 paying subscribers
Inside the app, there are two types of lessons:
• Grammar lessons - handcrafted by me with a level-design approach
• AI Lessons - generated by users with AI
The interesting part:
The vast majority of users choose the handcrafted lessons
People say they want AI-generated content.
But when given a choice, they prefer content designed by humans 😳
By the way, D30 retention is 6% and still holding steady. I’m pretty happy with that.
