Two of my most important California candidate choices this election:
Ben Allen — Insurance Commissioner
John Pimentel — State Board of Equalization
I’m still working on my broader voter guide and hope to share it soon.

We’re happy to endorse Ben Allen for Insurance Commissioner.
Ben's top priorities include:
- Fighting insurers that deny and delay. Leading the fight against companies that stall claims and refuse to compensate wildfire victims.
- A leader on wildfire prevention. A record of preparing California for the fires we know are coming - not just responding after.
- Refuses insurance industry money. Not taking a dollar from the industry he'd regulate. He'll answer to you, not them.

72% of Americans say there’s too much money in politics, and nearly half say voters have too little power.
Our government should work for the people — not the deepest pockets.

Proud to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area’s inaugural Mahj for Mentorship, helping raise nearly $40K for youth mentoring programs across the Bay Area. A wonderful day of mahjong, community, and connection for an important cause! @BBBSA @bbbsbayarea #bbbsba
Families caring for elderly parents need help to manage their burden. Tendercare offers a solution that eases the functional burden and reduces costs for families and the government.

This is the most thorough and compelling argument I’ve seen recently on why the wealth tax just doesn’t make sense, even if it feels easy to make billionaires out to be evil. @TangleNews

State legislators have passed AB 1383, a bill that would boost pension promises without setting aside sufficient funds to meet those promises. Please help stop AB 1383 by adding your name to our veto request letter to Governor Newsom @govern4ca

For all my friends and acquaintances with 21+ kids in NYC: my sister is opening a new bar in the East Village catering to them and would love to have them fill out this survey to capture their wants at the bar. They’ll receive a drink pog for their time!

Former Sen. Ben Sasse makes the case in the @WSJ for keeping the Senate filibuster. Political majorities change, and the rules one party changes today become the rules available to the other tomorrow. Is the 60-vote threshold still an important guardrail?
