We worked on unstoppable money markets using cryptocurrencies before vcs. We will do it after. Now we have completely different power, though, with llms opening possibility for non-coding engineers to actively contribute at all levels

Proof of useless work is essentials in hard money creation. Human societies made it with shells, gold etc. AI agents will create their hard assets with GPU hashing, ie by mining ergo:native

Ergo was built with no VCs. And they are not needed and usually not interested in solving hard problems people have with fiat money
Arb profits + storage rent profits are looking good for earning above the ERG block subsidy.
This is one of the cleaner long term miner incentive designs among PoW chains.
Emissions taper to a floor.
State bloat is discouraged.
Lost/dormant coins slowly recycle back into circulation.
Active block builders can capture the extra value instead of leaving it on the table.
That only increases as capabilities get built out with @LithosProtocol

The Bitcoin whitepaper should be considered along with other great p2p money whitepapers from 00s,such as original Ripple's from 2005 or "Peer-to-Peer Money: Free Currency over the Internet" from 2003

Trust surface in crosschain swaps should be reduced to chain events reporting, and deal participants should have freedom to choose an oracle pool for that out of many.
Little bit of respect too @chepurnoy
Not. Easy to see so much bs pump all the while you stayed true to being a cypherpunk in the truest sense.
Here for the tech, unironically.

GPUs are the engine of the future!
several core technologies in the emerging decentralized AI stack align naturally with @ergo_platform:
zero-knowledge machine learning (ZKML)
decentralized federated learning (FL)
autonomous agent identity & multi-party signatures
decentralized AI oracles
fully homomorphic encryption (FHE)
incentive layers for compute markets (eg subnet rewards)

Exactly, currently "crypto industry" is oligarchy where chosen fews are above laws(by using regulatory arb) and everyone else (by having power to freeze money etc). In 2026 we have all the tooling for trust minimization at all levels, though, so it it a question of the will only
Look at the contrast:
Binance loses billions:
- Coinbase manually blocks addresses
- Tether and Circle freeze billions in 60 minutes
- Ripple and World Liberty coordinate in group chats
- Executives hug it out on X
A normal user loses $50k to an approval scam:
- "Blockchain transactions are irreversible, anon"
- "Code is law"
- "Have you considered reading the contract bytecode?"
- Zero help from stablecoin issuers
Decentralization for the peasants, emergency bailouts and centralized freezes for the tier-1 cartel.
There are two crypto industries, and you’re not in the protected one.

To me it isn’t about:
Don’t trust, verify.
To me it is about:
Trust by verification.
Conversely, this means that I lean heavily towards “trust-creating” rather than “trustless”.
Why?
The third generation of accounting should achieve precisely what traditional accounting (double-entry) cannot fulfill in the digital era:
generate trust across all boundaries, with Bitcoin serving as the absolute foundation.
I view trust more through the lens of how this technology enables us to distinguish fake from reality in the digital information jungle, rather than focusing on whom we must trust within the underlying transaction process to ensure that proofs are handled in a decentralized and fair manner.
Both are important, no doubt, but my perspective is more of an evolution:
the one approach (trustless) examines the process, while I examine the implications of its results (trust-creating) on society.
I consider the right to privacy to be absolutely fundamental in this regard.
That is why, among other things, I regard the research field around ZK-proofs as one of the most important when it comes to building physical trust in the digital age.
