Commemorating the #G15 of #Eritrea, whomelted away for the sake of #eritrean #democracy.25 years incommunicado and no medical care orhygiene care. Moreover, no dueprocess whatsoever so ever! On this date, 25 years ago, #Eritrean democracy was totally squashed by #issiasAfwerki.

Political relevance is not permanent. It expires.A generation that paid the price for sovereignty will not hand the future to people who abandoned the struggle. The new generation is dealing with today’s challenges, not replaying old political dramas.

To you, it is an old political drama as you call it. To a conscious person, it is a day Eritrean democracy died and the day basic human rights were stripped away from ALL #eritreans. Do better.

At one time, yes, the G‑15 were relevant in Eritrean politics. But for 25 years, the country moved forward while they remained frozen in the past. Generations shifted. Ideas evolved. Priorities changed.Eritrea didn’t stay stuck in 2001 — only some people did.

No one is digging fossils of any kind. A trip to Asmara is enough to witness the cruelty of Isaias. There is no rule of law in #eritrea and that should bother you. Everyone is an opposition at heart inside of Eritrea. I spoke to so many locals, trust me.

The people were fooled because private press was immediately shot down, hence the narrative controlled. If due process was followed, evidence from both sides would’ve been scrutinized and justice would’ve prevailed.

The new generation is not digging through political fossils hoping old figures return and lead them. They’re not searching for dinosaurs. They’re not waiting for G‑15 to re‑emerge.

Those who cling to the past are not offering solutions — they’re offering nostalgia. They are stacked in the past, trying to revive a political moment that no longer exists.

The G-15 expected to implement the same system previously used by Weyane, which allowed individuals to amass millions overnight starting with nothing. However, this did not happen, as the government intervened and imprisoned them."

Their detention without charge, trial, lawyers, or family contact is an enforced disappearance and a grave human-rights abuse. Real answers—or freedom—may require major political change in Eritrea or sustained international pressure.

Eritrea goverment has kept journalists and political prisoners in prison or disappeared for more than 25 years. Some were arrested in 2001 and have never had a fair trial or even been seen by their families free journalist and political prisoner.
