SUDAN ― As the Sudanese Army and its allies continues to gain the upper hand on the battlefield, defections from the UAE-Ethiopia backed RSF and its affiliated factions are also mounting.
Today, 265 fighters from Suleiman Sandal’s pro-RSF splinter faction, led by Commander Bashir Abakar Abdelsalam, defected and joined the Sudanese Army.

طبقوا حظر دارفور بجدية لعدة أشهر، أوقفوا الإمداد، وعاقبوا من يخرقه، ثم تعالوا بعد ذلك وحدثونا عن جدوى توسيعه.
أما الآن، فالمستفيد واضح.
وهو أيضا الطرف الأكثر حماسا لهذا المقترح داخل الرباعية: الإمارات.
وهي، للمصادفة طبعا، الدولة نفسها التي تواجه منذ سنوات اتهامات موثقة ومتكررة بتزويد مليشيا الدعم السريع بالسلاح، وتسهيل شبكات إمدادها، وتوفير الدعم السياسي لها، وسط تقارير عن امتداد تلك الشبكات عبر تشاد وليبيا وإثيوبيا والقرن الأفريقي وغيرها.
واشنطن تحولت في هذا الملف إلى ذراع ضغط لأبوظبي داخل مجلس الأمن، تستخدم ثقلها ونفوذها لتمرير ترتيبات تخدم الأجندة الإماراتية على حساب السودان وشعبه.
وقناعتي أن واشنطن تحلب الإمارات. تضغط هنا، وتمنحها غطاء هناك، وتخلق في كل مرة مساحة جديدة لرفع فاتورة النفوذ والحماية والمقايضة السياسية.
لكن السودان ليس محكوما بالبقاء أسيرا لهذا المسار.
لا صوت يعلو فوق صوت المعركة والقوة ، القوة ، القوة لا بارك الله في الضعف ...
واشنطن لم تعد تحتكر وحدها مفاتيح السياسة الدولية. والدبلوماسية السودانية، بعون الله، قادرة أن توسع خياراتها، وأن ترسخ تحالفاتها الإقليمية والدولية وألا تركن إلى العلاقات القائمة مهما بدت متينة. فالعلاقات القوية تحتاج إلى رعاية مستمرة، وتنمية للمصالح المشتركة، وتوسيع مجالات التعاون، والسعي الدائم لجعلها أعمق وأصلب. والعلاقة التي تتوقف عن النمو تبدأ في التراجع، وتصبح أكثر عرضة للاختراق والاستقطاب.
كما أنه يجب علينا أن نفهم طبيعة هذا العالم الجديد القديم.
القوة تستخدم للابتزاز، والمواقف تتحرك مع المصالح، والمال يفتح أبواب السياسة في أكبر العواصم.
وإذا كان المال الإماراتي يملك كل هذا النفوذ في واشنطن نفسها ومع رئيس الولايات المتحدة ، فهل نستغرب أثره على "سلكنا" و"منقتنا" و"صامولتنا" وآخرين لا نعلمهم، الله يعلمهم؟

Regime change means replacing a government inside a sovereign country.
*If sovereignty collapses,
*the government collapses.
*If the government collapses, *there is no regime left to change. So anyone who says:
“We are working for regime change”while the country’s sovereignty is under threat is either:

the core problem is not a Sudan–Ethiopia border dispute. The real issue is Ethiopia acting as a permissive transit hub for UAE‑linked gold smuggling networks that fuel Sudan’s war economy. This is documented across multiple investigations, and it explains why Sudanese actors accuse Ethiopia of enabling foreign intervention rather than behaving like a responsible regional state.
What the evidence shows
1. Sudan’s gold is being smuggled at massive scale
Sudan officially produced ~70 tonnes of gold in 2025, but only 14.7 tonnes were recorded as exports
— meaning 79% of production disappeared into smuggling channels. [^1] Most of this gold ends up in the UAE, which has become the central refinery and financial clearing point for both SAF and RSF gold. [^2]
2. RSF and SAF both use UAE-linked routes
