#EriTransnationalRepression Eritrean diaspora face a double burden. Living abroad doesn't shield us from the reach of the authoritarian Eritrean regime. Protest, a fundamental right elsewhere, becomes grounds for imprisonment, highlighting the constant vulnerability we experience

FROM “ETHIOPIA NEEDS ASSAB NOW” TO THE REALITY OF DIPLOMACY! Ambassador Tibor Nagy’s reported position on Ethiopia’s access to the Red Sea raises an important question: Is the discussion shifting from urgency and strategic ambition toward the realities of diplomacy, sovereignty, and regional security? Ethiopia’s need for reliable maritime access is understandable. However, economic necessity does not create territorial ownership, and geographical proximity does not grant sovereignty over another nation’s land or coastline. Assab is Eritrean. Any arrangement for access must respect Eritrea’s sovereignty and be based on mutual consent, international law, and peaceful negotiations. With rising military tensions and the risk of a wider regional conflict, political rhetoric must be measured against the realities on the ground. A military confrontation would carry enormous human, economic, and diplomatic costs for both nations. Was the earlier urgency driven by strategic calculations that are now being reconsidered? That remains an open question until his statements demonstrate a clear change in position. The message is simple: Negotiate access, respect sovereignty, and choose diplomacy over confrontation. The Red Sea must be a bridge for regional cooperation, not a battlefield for competing ambitions. Eritrea for Eritreans. Peace through diplomacy. Sovereignty through respect.
Yes, Ethiopia needs a port, but not by attacking Eritrea! Those pushing such a conflict are no doubt desk jockeys who have never experienced a real war and are willing to peddle their fury at the cost of others' lives while they risk nothing. barrons.com/news/now-or-neve…

Exactly! #Ethiopia’s need for sea access does not give it the right to threaten #Eritrea’s sovereignty or territorial integrity. A landlocked country’s economic needs cannot become a justification for war, invasion, or territorial expansion. Eritrea’s independence and borders are not bargaining chips. Those advocating military aggression should remember that it is ordinary people, not the armchair warmongers; who pay the ultimate price in blood, displacement, and shattered lives. Peace must be pursued through diplomacy, mutual respect, and negotiated agreements, not threats and aggression. Eritrea’s sovereignty is non-negotiable.

The people of Eritrea struggle even to afford basic food like kicha and bread, living under extremely harsh conditions. The Eritrean army suffers under conditions resembling slavery, without adequate pay or basic rights. Soldiers reportedly earn as little as $150 a year. @sputn
📌 EXCLUSIVE | Russia "should be allowed" to contribute to changing "reality on the ground": Eritrean president "All the attempts of containing Russia, weakening Russia, sanctioning Russia, excluding Russia are becoming an obstacle," Isaias Afwerki told Sputnik Africa.

@realyonaswoldu, thank you for these powerful words. Eritrean women have always been at the heart of our struggle for freedom, sacrifice, and justice. We will not remain silent while our people are denied their fundamental rights and dignity. We stand firm and united until #Eritrea is free from dictatorship and every Eritrean can live in freedom, peace, and dignity. Our courage is our strength, our unity is our power, and justice is our mission.✊🏽💙🌿💙 #EritreanWomen #JusticeForEritrea #Freedom #Democracy @Niharinetna @asmarino80 @CaptnEritrea

The problem of the Eritrean people is the #PFDJ regime. For 36 years, it has sown hatred and prevented the Eritrean people from living in peace with their neighbours. Our neighbours are not our enemies. Our enemy is the repressive regime!

As if you have no fathers or mothers, as if you will never grow old yourselves! Watching a bunch of brainless 'barayo' disrespect our elders is absolutely disgraceful and shameful. Our elders fought for freedom when they were young, sacrificing so much for our people, and even today, they continue to fight for the dignity and future of their nation. Instead of honoring their sacrifices, you have the audacity to mock and humiliate them. Who do you think you are? Old age is not a weakness, and disrespecting our elders is not a sign of strength. It is a reflection of ignorance, arrogance, and a complete lack of human decency. You should be learning from their courage and sacrifices, not insulting the very generation that fought for the freedom you claim to stand for. Time waits for no one. You, too, will grow old one day. Shame on you for disrespecting the very people whose sacrifices deserve our deepest gratitude and respect! #RespectOurElders #Eritrea #HonorOurHeroes #EritreanFreedomFighters #RespectTheirSacrifice

Whether or not the candidate we voted for won, for us Eritreans who never had the chance to vote, just participating in an election is something positive and surprising after 35 years of brutal leadership. We now get to vote and even run for office at different levels, because we live in countries where elections are a basic right. #Eritrea #HumanRights #BlueRevolution #TransnationalRepression #NoMorePFDJPropaganda @MayorOliviaChow

South African Chinese community: There is a long-established Chinese South African population. Chinese people have lived in Johannesburg since the late 19th century. There are multi-generational “local” Chinese South Africans & recent immigrants. @JacintaNgobese @MoyaProf
A Chinese man, Hai Shi, running for Ward 103, City of Johannesburg. Under the ANC. The People's Councillor. And there is silence. No marches. No burning tyres. No hashtags. No Operation Dudula van with loudspeakers shouting "foreigners must go." No press conference asking for his passport, his papers, his ancestry. No one asking how long he has been here, or if he is "really South African." Now imagine if that face on that yellow poster was Nigerian. Or Zimbabwean. Or Malawian. Or Mozambican. South Africa would be ungovernable by sunset. A Chinese national from 10,000 km away in Asia can become "The People's Councillor" in Johannesburg and we call it diversity, We have been taught to be Afrophobic, not xenophobic.~@Mzanziawake ~Speaks

How long will African leaders wage proxy wars? We have seen a number of conflicts and wars in Africa, specifically in the Horn. Country against country, and worst of all, civil war. Both are still continuing. But most of them, including the civil wars, are proxy wars. And overall, military equipment at all levels has become a business and a market. #Eritrea #HumanRights #BlueRevolution #TransnationalRepression #NoMorePFDJPropaganda
