Last year, on July 5th, 2025, my GoDaddy website was reactivated. I didn't really do anything to overhaul it except use AI to rewrite all the text content, and it's abysmal. This year, I will attempt to fix it and maybe sell stuff or something ๐Ÿค” eustrates.com

Selling this yeti attack artwork, just opened the original packaging from the painter. It's the cover art for Frightshow Classics, "Lair of the Blue Mara." Acrylic on board. DM if interested!

This Day in D&D History, November 1, 1973 Gary Gygaxโ€™s foreword to Men & Magic bears this date, months before D&Dโ€™s release. Blackmoor and Greyhawk, he wrote, pointed toward โ€œa fantastic future.โ€ I wonder if even Gary imagined how much that would mean. All those adventures. All those friendships. People still gathering around tables more than half a century later. Turns out some of the best treasure was the people we met along the way.

The first Halloween movie for the night is Deadstream. A disgraced internet streamer is having a live stream in a haunted house . It is done as a found footage / live stream format. The movie is actually pretty good. It starts with a humorous feel with a character you donโ€™t like, but the fear starts to ramp up.

Hereโ€™s a little Halloween nightmare from the original AD&D Fiend Folio (1981). Meet the penanggalan. By day, sheโ€™s a seemingly ordinary woman. She might even join your adventuring party, help you find treasure, and warn you about dangers in the dungeon. But she NEVER stays the night. Because after dark, her head and internal organs detach from her body and fly off in search of human blood. And hereโ€™s the really disturbing part. Before she can reattach herself, she has to soak those swollen organs in VINEGAR. Yes. Vinegar. Based on Malaysian folklore, brought to AD&D by Stephen Hellman, and illustrated by the incomparable Russ Nicholson. Sweet dreams, everyone. ๐ŸŽƒ Did any of you ever encounter this horror in your campaigns?

Kamikazes weren't lone wolves. Typically a whole squadron of 50 or more planes would fly together, led by a single skilled veteran pilot. Often they couldn't find the American fleet and the squadron just vanished. One theory behind this was that they were too embarrassed to return to base and admit they couldn't find the USN, so they crashed into the sea. But - what if a group of kamikazes, all with their minds fixed on the Great Beyond, flying in unison as their minds reach a higher (or lower) plane of existence. They fly up and out of our dimension. Now they search eternally, skeletal hands on the throttle, still seeking their foe. They can never succeed, because their enemy has vanished and is gone for many decades. But ... what if they can find a crack in the cosmos? Can they return? Still lusting with their decayed and vengeful hearts for flaming death and glory? They might appear and strike any vessel they happen across, desiring that their souls be at last freed to go to Hell and finally escape the eternal patrol. A chilling thought.
