One of the things I’m most proud of with our film is that it humanizes a group of people who are reliably dehumanized. Seeing that humanity is more important than ever right now. Anyone can watch Resistance Climbing on @reelrock for free! 🇵🇸 watch.reelrocktour.com/video…

People should take this seriously
Under pressure from Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran. The target would be Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence claims the Iranian government has restarted its nuclear enrichment program. No conventional weapon in the American arsenal can penetrate 300 feet of solid granite to destroy the tunnels where enrichment is supposedly taking place. The only military option is a nuclear strike. Netanyahu has been pushing hard for one. “Bibi calls Trump about it every day,” says an informed observer. Netanyahu is cornered and desperate. After last week’s election results, he can’t form a government unless Trump intervenes directly in Israeli politics and brokers a deal with other parties that gives Netanyahu 61 seats in the Knesset. Otherwise, he is out as prime minister and on his way to ignominy, investigations and possibly jail. Netanyahu must stay close to Trump. He needs this war. To that end, he’s applied maximum pressure to his closest allies in the administration, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper. Both oppose a negotiated settlement to the war they’ve so grievously mismanaged; both are pushing to restart major combat operations. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA director John Ratcliffe are also following Netanyahu’s lead, as are leaders of the Democratic Party. In a recent meeting on the subject, former president Barack Obama said he opposes the current Iran peace deal being drafted in Doha. The rest of America’s longtime allies in the Middle East are terrified by the prospect of more war. On September 27th, Netanyahu flew secretly to Abu Dhabi to enlist the UAE in his lobbying effort for a final attack on Iran. The Emiratis refused. After eight months of conflict, Gulf economies are teetering. So are global energy and fertilizer markets. They won’t recover soon. Globally, there are a total of about 850 supertankers used to transport oil from producers to the rest of the world. In October alone, 11 of them were badly damaged in Hormuz. At this pace, a global depression is imminent. A nuclear strike would radically accelerate the destruction. Fallout from a ground explosion at Pickax Mountain would contaminate the Persian Gulf, poisoning the water supply for 100 million people. And those are just some of the immediate consequences for the region. The rest of the world is every bit as exposed. No country other than the United States has ever used a nuclear weapon in war. Some would like to. An American nuclear attack on Iran would set a new precedent. The Russians have already told at least two other governments that an American nuclear strike on Iran would free them to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine. Pakistan and India would be tempted to do the same against each other, as would North Korea against Seoul. After the first nuclear strike, World War Three is inevitable. That war would be short and final. We’ve been sleepwalking toward this moment for months. Since February, the administration has quietly rewritten America’s nuclear doctrine to make first use of so-called “battlefield nukes” easier and therefore more likely. No one in Washington in either party seems bothered by this. Now we’re on the brink of it. Close observers say Trump is likely to decide by next weekend whether or not to use nuclear weapons. That would be November 7, six days from now. To his credit, he’s hesitating. At the moment, Trump is listening to his vice president, JD Vance, and to his envoy and friend Steve Witkoff, both of whom argue a deal with Iran can be made. They’re right, though it won’t be simple. The Iranians are famously frustrating to negotiate with under any circumstances, and elements of that government have become more radical since Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his family were killed in February. After decades of isolation, even relatively moderate Iranian leaders seem confused by how decisions are made in the West. (There is a widespread belief in Tehran, for example, that the United States government controls Israel.) But overall, people who have spoken to decision-makers in Iran say there is consensus there that more war is bad for everyone and a deal is worth making. One group that hasn’t been consulted so far is the global population — the hundreds of millions of people who will be killed along with their children if Trump is pushed by Netanyahu into launching a nuclear strike next week. Now would be the time for them to speak up.

She knows. They all know. Not just about the evil being done but what they can and “can’t” say about it. It’s so nauseating and horrifying to see it laid bare so clearly.
This is an amazing clip. The terror once she realizes she was live.

Bottom line: Israeli opposition has a strong majority to topple Netanyahu, but they'd rather keep him in office, go to another election round & commit political suicide than form a gov backed by Arab parties, b/c the latter might -God forbid- require ending the Gaza genocide or slowing down West Bank ethnic cleansing & settler terrorism

Israel is NOT a democracy! A democracy grants equal citizenship to all its subjects. Israel's "democracy" excludes 6 million Palestinians whose lives it completely controls; it keeps 8 million more shut out in exile; & it passed a 2018 nation-state law that officially designated the 2 million Palestinians with Israeli citizenship as 2nd class citizens. That decades-long demographic engineering to maintain an 80% Jewish majority is the exact opposite of a democratic system. Liberal democracy means equal protection & rights for all citizens. Israel's ethnonationalism privileges a core national or ethnic group. The two cannot be combined! An "ethnic democracy" (Israel's system) is a contradiction in terms. It doesn't uphold the principles of political equality and non-discrimination because it structurally privileges one ethnic group over another. Institutionalized ethnic dominance inherently relegates minorities to a secondary political or symbolic status, creating systemic instability and limiting equal protection under the law. That's why Human Rights Watch concluded that Israel maintains an apartheid system between the River and the Sea, including against Palestinian citizens of Israel.

You can hate Arabs & Muslims all ya want, but u can't erase their contributions to human civilization. Algebra. Algorithms. Medicine. Astronomy. Philosophy. Literature. During the Islamic Golden Age, scholars working across the Arab world translated, preserved, debated, and expanded the works of Greek thinkers like Aristotle and Plato, helping transmit classical knowledge to medieval Europe. They didn’t just preserve knowledge; they built on it and pushed it further. And that’s before we even get to the poetry, philosophy, and wisdom of literary giants like Al-Mutanabbi, Al-Jahiz, Ibn Arabi, Ibn Khaldun, and Jubran countless others. Centuries of scientific, intellectual, and literary brilliance that helped shape the world we live in today. So before you run your mouth about Arabs, maybe pick up a fucking history book.

Hard not to notice what a losing hand guys like Bret are stuck with. Had to go from talking about the "kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful country in the world!" to a blanket demand that everyone just stop talking or knowing anything about Israel.
NYT's Bret Stephens whines that Democrats know "Smotrich and Ben-Gvir" but not "the interior minister of Japan." Their "obsession" with Israel drives him "crazy." (Being politically informed on Israel is now anti-Semitic.)

I hate this condescending whataboutism. Yes Bret, if the interior minister of Japan was a right-wing religious zealot using US taxpayer money for ethnic cleansing, they would probably be better known.

From two years ago. One of my best and most accurate readings of Israel's situation. Everything has gotten worse since then, and the coming election is just a joke. I will talk about this more tomorrow in a video
Netanyahu just sacked Yoav Gallant, Israel's Defense Secretary (with hints he may soon fire the IDF Chief of Staff and the head of Shin Bet, Israel's mighty secret police), and this is an excellent opportunity to say something about Netanyahu's role in the great scheme of things. Two things I have been saying consistently for the past year: Israel will only escalate, and this is its demise. I want to add one very crucial layer of meaning to this, regarding Netanyahu's role in exposing fully the face of liberal Zionism. One of my earliest posts going viral on this platform was a retweet of an image showing the impressive size of big anti-Netanyahu protests. I said something like: don't be fooled. Everyone you see in this picture will put on their IDF uniform tomorrow and resume their role in the genocide. And I was proven so unbelievably right. No conscientious objection was registered in Israel throughout all this. Zero. And that's what I refer to as Netanyahu's role, in this context. He leaves those people no cover. No shred of deniability or dignity. They are exposed fully, - You see, that demographic, made up predominantly of Ashkenazi elites, had a million trillion chances to say no. To change course. They never did. They always chose to walk hand in hand with their supposed political rivals - the religious rightwing crazies. Always. A-l-w-a-y-s - They could have said 'enough' when it was clear Israel did not mean to pursue the two-state solution, and was using the time it was given by falsely pretending to work at it to deepen and expand the apartheid and the settlements. They continued to serve and defend. They could have said 'no!' when Jewish terrorism in the West Bank, and the occupation, became more and more violent and crazy. They continued to serve and defend. They could have, should have, refused after the march of return with its abominable mass sniping of innocent people. They continued to serve and defend. They could have voiced serious doubts and issued serious demands after, or during, previous Gaza operations - each gradually more murderous and fanatical. They continued to serve and defend. They could have stopped after the first week of genocide. The second. The third. The first month. The first 1000 dead children. The first 10,000. The first attack on a hospital. The ISIS-like destruction of Al-Shifa. They had endless reasons and causes to say 'My conscience does not allow me to do this anymore'. Instead, they continued providing pilots to carpet bomb the entirety of Gaza, and economists and statisticians to handle the starvation, the prevention of medical care, and the ethnic cleansing, spokespeople to defend it, generals to plan it, computer scientists to streamline it, and elite soldiers to mask it as daring military activity. - Step by step. the mass murderer, may his soul rot in the deepest dungeon of hell for all eternity, peeled every maska and facade they ever had, going with them on a mutual journey of demonic insanity, straight to hell. Now no one can back out anymore. They have made it all the way through to the other side of humanity. There's no going back. Netanyahu does not need to even fake-cater to them anymore. So no residual sanity will be allowed to remain. He knows they can't escape anymore. They are forever mired in his psychopathy and craven bloodlust. - As I wrote a day or two ago: Israel is facing its mightiest foe in Iran after having its reputation thoroughly ruined, and with its population no longer able to hide under the slightest but legitimacy. And its elites already know they have been defeated, humiliated, and devoured by Zionism's absolute worst incarnation. They are going to war under the banner of a demon, fully unmasked, and they know it, and can't do anything about it anymore. They are just as bad and evil as he is, and he is the worst of humanity

This is gaslighting & a complete inversion of reality. Israeli soldiers & settlers (illegal foreign invaders in the West Bank) have been murdering thousands of Palestinians with impunity, & whenever a Palestinian fights back, these scumbags say: “See? That’s why we can’t leave.”
The “two-state solution” is a total delusion because there is no universe in which the Palestinian Authority, a corrupt terrorist organization, will pursue Arab terrorists who murder Jews. There is no compelling reason for Israel to withdraw from Judea and Samaria.

In 2018, The Washington Post ran a piece on where AIPAC came from. It's worth reading slowly. Oct. 1953: Israeli forces killed more than 60 civilians in the village of Qibya. Time reported it. The New York Times published U.N. findings refuting Israel's lies about it. Eisenhower froze U.S. aid. Dulles said so openly. An ordinary country faces consequences. This one (Israel) built a machine. 5 months later, the American Zionist Committee for Public Affairs (AZCPA 0was launched. It was later renamed AIPAC. The Post's own subhead says it "was formed to spin positive PR after Israeli atrocities." Not to question the atrocity. To manage the fallout. Then came the model: ... Build a "united front" and treat any dissent as betrayal. ... Operate on the premise that "there was nothing Israel might do that would jeopardize American Jewish support." ... Worse, the article says the more disturbing Israeli behavior got, "the more Israel needed their ardent advocacy." ... Since the late 1970s, steer campaign money toward chosen candidates, creating "a unity that politicians have had to respect." That last line is the whole story. Politicians learned that crossing this lobby has a price. So they stopped asking hard questions about where American tax dollars and American diplomatic cover go. That is leverage over American policy, built after a massacre, and sustained for 70 years. Notice the Post didn't say American Jews are a monolith. It said AIPAC works hard to create the perception of one, and punishes Jews who break from it. An American public that funds this deserves to know the origin story. The question isn't "why is this being said now?" It's "why did we stop saying it?"

I get the importance of covering these incidents. I get the importance of films like NAZA. But it is galling, deeply galling, that the carnage inflicted on Palestinians for eighty years is consistently narrated (if at all) as if props or background to Jewish reckonings, Jewish moral dilemmas, Jewish political diversity, and so on. Heidi Levine is an American-born Jewish colonizer based in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, where she and her entire family live as settlers on colonized land. She got a tiny dose of what Palestinians suffer daily, and it's major news. And clearly it's not because she's a journalist, because we see the dearth of reporting on Palestinian journalists who've been decimated.
Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine recounts how Israeli colonists assaulted and robbed her while she was reporting on olive harvest in the occupied West Bank. The attack, which involved kicking and blows from clubs, left her with multiple broken bones.

Over and over again we learn that the conspiracy theory of Trump-Russia collusion which completely monopolized all political and media attention for years was pure bullshit, but Trump and his cronies DO have extremely corrupt ties to numerous other nations which just get ignored.
Aside from the shocking substance of this story, what's amazing is how it was unearthed by Cole. The short version: The Russians were able to penetrate Jared Kushner's iPhone and extract screenshots and data. Then, a Russian intel official was captured by Dutch intelligence (!) and flipped. The Dutch believed Kushner may have been acting on behalf of Russia, so pursued him as an intel target and were able to get into his phone. They did not find any evidence of Russian collusion, instead they watched him moving hundreds of millions of dollars from slush funds created by Saudi Arabia and the UAE, one of them housed in Israel's central bank. Incredible reporting, and if Democrats have any sense, they will pull on these threads and learn a lot more about this money.

“There is no Area A and no Area B. The entire Land of Israel is ours.” Israeli Settlement Minister Orit Struk openly calls for settling the entire occupied West Bank, rejecting the territorial divisions established under the Oslo Accords and declaring all the land Israeli.
