NYRA makes it official. Saturday and Sunday cards are canceled. The 6 graded stakes scheduled for Saturday and Sunday will be brought back and run on Thursday. Also, there will be a live racing card on Wednesday and another live card on Wednesday 10/7
Belmont vibe = a million times better than yesterday. Why? Regular racetrack folks. Old men. Kids. Big A regs. A true NYC crowd of all tribes and nations. The apron awash in the sound of jockeys being cursed.
Good to be home again. What a difference a day makes.

8 days until @BelmontPark1905 is back in business.
Has @TheNYRA named a new announcer? @Inthegrandstand?
Somebody else?
Inquiring minds want to know.
If they’re “not breeding“ horses that can get a mile and a half, they’re not breeding triple crown contenders. Should we award no hitters after 6 innings because almost no one goes nine anymore?
Tomorrow isn’t just the final day of the @Saratoga1863. It’s the last day Aqueduct will be open to the public. I don’t have 2 free hrs to spend on the A train, but I’m tempted to go anyway. Anyone else saying a final goodbye? End of an era for @TheNYRA.
Thanks to @HorseToWatch for nailing the Best Bet on the last Saratoga Sunday. Great moment of revisionist history as Jean Valjean steals the bread without getting caught.
Deepest condolences to the savage genius who would’ve scooped the $515K @Saratoga1863 Pick 6 if So Darn Pretty (23-1) had held in the final strides. A wellness check might be in order.

@HorseToWatch was just a guy with a blog.
Former limo guy can win some races without chicanery.
Steve Schauer is not new to the game. Here's a piece I did on him in 2025. drf.com/news/owner-turned-tr…
I do know that you could fill the backyard at Saratoga past the treetops with copies of the form containing similar. I don’t know how SS is getting results or if he’s on the square. I do know the evidence against him is mighty thin. Servis and Navarro had like 10k starts &
This guy has 70 some. @DRFGrening says SS ditched
string to take care of his dad and didn’t run once from Sep to Jan. If I had the magic bullet, I’d fire it more than 70x. And if another trainer was getting results I couldn’t, I wouldn’t advertise it unless I had the goods
