Yr10 Class effort today, practical application of quantitative chemistry. Reinforced conservation of mass with CaCO3 + HCl. Then they calculated the individual product masses of the aqueous substances from their combined mass. 👏🏻 So proud of them @FHSBristol @FHSScienceFac

Using @mrwmhistory template for year 8's today for their independent work from @OakNational -LOVE EVERYTHING THEY ARE DOING! I leave this slide up for the whole lesson time so if students are stuck they can check instructions and I am available in the chat to help if needed.

3. Similarly at the end of my live input (usually around half an hour) I'll put a number of comments in the chat. Students that are confident can leave the call knowing they can re-join to ask for help if needed, those that need help can stick around for support.

I have been trialling an idea from a science teacher at my school, getting students to create one page summaries at the end of each topic, encouraging them to synthesise. They love it and test scores have improved for some students! #teachertrials #revision #sharingiscaring
