Applied papers often show sequences of OLS or DiD estimates with more and more controls.
When coefficients move, the usual story is: “bias is reduced.”

One of my favourite behavioral papers. Finally out, working paper was around for a decade or so: sciencedirect.com/science/ar… in particular their study 3: if s.o. Has to read about celebrities/the rich not paying taxes, they steal other stuff in easy reach in a field experiment!
