My expanded thoughts on Puka Nacua & why you should trade for Davante Adams: -Injury has been Hip/Psoas, Groin ever since August. -Sean McVay has been adamant that it is not sports hernia, but symptoms that are often precursors to sports hernia -You can play through a sports hernia, it can be very uncomfortable though and the groin can often flare back up -Would I be surprised if Puka practiced this week and played? No. Will he have high risk of aggravation that eventually leads to a sports hernia surgery? Yes -LAR has a very good med staff so if they thought there was even a chance of sports hernia surgery, they likely would have had him do it by now so that he would be “fine” by Week 10-12. But maybe they’ve been taking the chances with it since you can play through a sports hernia and even if he waited a few more weeks he would be fine by Week 14-16 range for a playoff push. -The sooner the surgery happens, the better, if this really is a sports hernia. I don’t think they’ll wait much longer if it truly is. -If it’s just a groin strain, it makes sense why they’ve been slow-playing it to ensure it doesn’t worsen I told @ScottBarrettDFB that I think there’s a 60% chance this leads to sports hernia surgery.
