Today at State House Entebbe, I met Egyptian investors led by our Deputy Head of Mission in Egypt, Lt. Gen. Charles Angina (Rtd). I encouraged them to invest in our economy, particularly in electricity, railways, irrigation and toll roads. We produce a lot from agriculture, minerals and forests, but we must add value to these products and have affordable infrastructure so our goods can compete in the global market. I welcome their proposal to establish an industrial park for processing coffee, cotton and other products.

As the Father of Muhoozi, a resistance fighter and the one who encouraged him to join the army, I know him to excel on most of these considerations. Muwanga Kivumbi has reportedly threatened to leave NUP if the party doesn’t front him as its flag bearer in 2031. Muwanga referred to the current party president as incompetent and incapable of managing even a small kiosk.

PLU's registration and endorsement drive is a smart method that no existing organisation has attempted before. It's like an opinion poll, but dealing with real people who have national IDs and contacts, targeting to have more members than the registered voters in the 2026 elections. Some political groups often claim victory in elections based on opinion polls that used random people, who are neither members of the party nor voters, as respondents. On Gen. @mkainerugaba's supposed bid for the Presidency, clearly he has stated that his bid is after H.E @KagutaMuseveni and not challenging him for the seat. Many are misunderstanding this while others are twisting it deliberately to create unnecessary anxiety and friction in the Ugandan public space. PO132 FK

🚨 NRM CEC sitting at State House Entebbe on Tuesday discussed:
1. Succession (M7 presented a paper)
2. Economy
3. Integration
4. Strong army
5. NRM house
6. Empowering party district leaders.
On succession, H.E M7 detailed the qualities of a leader he would wish to succeed him. A number of CEC members roger that CDF Gen. Muhoozi fits the qualities (patriot, Pan-Africanist, developmental etc). The Hajjati (Chairman office) opposed and openly asked if the CDF is being imposed on them. She raised her security concerns. Thoughtfully, President said the aspirations of the majority will prevail. CEC members have the copies of the succession paper.
ECONOMY: Prof. Balunywa and Hon. Echodu proposed that Bank of Uganda officials and Ministry of Finance technocrats be invited for the next CEC meeting to discuss the current situation (shillings, etc).
NRM House: Some members said the planned $24m house had been inflated by $9m. The building committee leadership has been transferred from Eng. Jonard Asiimwe (didn't attend today) to Eng. Badru Kiggundu. New contract to be signed.
NRM party district leaders are to be empowered with mobility means to monitor government projects.
