There’s a particular grief in watching the people who were supposed to be your first home become strangers to the life you’ve built, especially when the distance isn’t about conflict or rejection in the usual sense, but about envy, discomfort, or the quiet impossibility of them celebrating something they never believed was available. It’s not just loss of closeness. It’s the loss of a version of the relationship that was supposed to grow with you.
A lot of people feel this and still struggle to say it out loud because it can sound ungrateful, or like you’re diminishing what your parents did give. But the grief is real. You’re allowed to love them and still mourn the ways they can’t fully see or hold the person you’ve become.
I would feel some type of way too if someone called me out by my full name and then downplayed how good my team was.

I hate to admit it but it’s actually cheaper to eat out everyday. Buying the ingredients for one meal run you at least $100.

Washington agrees to a deal with Odafe Oweh to a four-year $100 million deal per @AdamSchefter. Oweh receives $68 million guaranteed. Big signing at edge for Washington. Adds youth and athleticism -- both needed for the Commanders.

I like the Amik Robertson signing because you can play him in side and kick Mikey out to corner full time.
Sainristil has been way better at corner. WSH was desperate for vet CB help. Good start to the day.
Yet another symbol of the Barça squad's chemistry. It's a great example of team camaraderie shining through in big moments!
A Real Madrid journalist said he was jealous of how Barcelona’s bench reacted to Ferran Torres’ goal.
It showed their togetherness and how no one cares about who scores. All they care about is winning as a team

The Uncomfortable Truth of the Day: Intelligence matters more than almost anything else.
Intelligence is the closest thing we have to a “master key” for complex modern societies. If you removed every individual advantage except one, and you had to pick which single trait to keep for yourself or your children, IQ is still the rational choice.
