Democrats took down AO3 to make young people so bored they had nothing to do but vote. A masterclass in politics.

i’m in california where the working class blues vote differently than the billionaire blues. i want the billionaire tax! i want to keep mail-in ballots and NOT have to show my id at the polls!!
I miss being able to make the dumbest comments on fics. I'll be back, authors who spittake at my terrible sense of humor.
I have ASD, ADHD, and OCD, which means I hyperfixate on a single project, but if I get dsitracted, I will hyperfixate on new shiny thing (and never finish first thing), AND it has to be perfect.
Be nice to me or I will disappear into a cave for 6 years like an internet cryptid.

you guys know how when people download fan art and then post it on their own accounts even with credit to the og artist, the artist still doesnt like that? and everyone agrees with the artist because there's lack of consent? yeah, so why is that different for writers?

it’s so funny that people are saying “go read a real book” now that ao3 is down when so many of us are literature majors 😭 like honey dostoyevsky has some bangers but he doesn’t have the yaoi my soul craves

really dislike a lot of menswear trend reporting. "corduroy is making a comeback." "the humble cardigan is suddenly everywhere." "this season, it's all about layering." "brown is having a moment." yea man it's called fall/ winter clothing and it's getting cold

Oh my god it’s happening again it’s hard to reply to everyone and keep up but in case you need it: I have my overall organized fic archive, divided into folders of fandoms/ships: drive.google.com/drive/folde…
And drives that don’t belong to me but I’ve acquired (linked below)

I would like to remind people that the Wayback Machine exists and can be a small glimmer of light in these dark and trying times. It's not perfect, but an archived copy of our Archive is leagues better than 2-4 weeks of nothing. Good luck!

We estimate that service restoration for #AO3 will take around 2 weeks but it could be up to 4 weeks. We are hopeful that we will be able to bring the site back up in a degraded state sooner. Refer to our status page for updates: otwstatus.org/
