Whenever you feel uncomfortable, instead of retreating back into your old comfort zone pat yourself on the back and say “I must be growing”. Coming out of your comfort zone is tough in the beginning, chaotic in the middle and awesome in the end, it will show you a whole new world

“Gas-lighting” - People are manipulated to believe in something utterly false.
American Heart Asso, Natl Institutes Health & USDA issue false statements about the value of butter, eggs & red meat. Their agenda?
To sell worthless drugs, iffy oils & subsidized grains

When I solved my health issues with diet I thought wow I can help others do the same. Turns out knowing how to solve someone else’s problem is the easy part. How you use that knowledge to get them to solve their problems that’s infinitely harder.

A little self doubt is a good thing.
If we are supremely confidence, we stop exploring, stop searching for new ideas and solutions.
A little self doubt provides the fuel to continue the journey towards mastery.

Greenhouse gas emissions per 100 k/cal are higher from fruit/vegetables than from meat/dairy. Furthermore, the nutrient density (ND6) of meat/dairy per greenhouse gas emissions is also lower than fruit/vegetables.
Meat and dairy is good for you AND better for the environment.

Isn't this exactly what Professor John Yudkin said in the 1960s? For his efforts he lost all his research funding and was dismissed from his profession in disgrace. Instead Ancel Keys was lionised (and still is) for promoting his false theory that dietary fat causes heart disease

The biggest mistake novices make when starting an exercise routine: They think it should feel hard. That in order to get better they need to suffer.
The truth? The best athletes on the planet take it easy 80%+ of their exercise. They can easily chat away. thegrowtheq.com/the-key-to-s…

Also how do you explain my bias? For 33 years I promoted hi-carb diets through my research, teaching, writings (#LoreofRunning). Not one single person EVER accused me of being biased in promoting hi-carb diets. Only when I converted to LCHF did I all of a sudden become "biased".

I always remind athletes: There are only two kinds of athletes: those who fail and those who will fail. Those who are the best always mean to do their best, they strive to be the best they can be, and this puts them in a position for good things to happen...but not perfect things

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard someone say they wish they had more willpower to be able to quit sugar.
But here’s the thing: it’s an actual physical addiction and the food industry strives to get us hooked on sugar. It’s not about willpower, it’s about biochemistry.
