China’s Copper Squeeze Deepens as Buyers Scramble For Metal
Copper buyers in China are scrambling for physical metal, with spot premiums soaring as supplies tighten sharply in the world’s biggest consumer.
The premium for spot copper in Shanghai jumped to 2,100 yuan ($315) a ton over futures on Thursday, the highest since 2021 when the data started, according to Shanghai Metals Market. The surge is the latest sign that immediately available cathode is becoming increasingly scarce as production curbs by Chinese smelters tighten supplies. (Bloomberg)

$MACK.NE has reported the second batch of drill results from its inaugural 20,000-meter drill program at the 100%-owned Comstock District property in Nevada.
From eight new holes drilled at Occidental South:
- 2.30 g/t gold over 67.1 meters, including 17.93 g/t gold over 4.6 meters
- 1.48 g/t gold over 97.5 meters, including 5.56 g/t gold over 15.2 meters
- 1.17 g/t gold over 70.1 meters, including 5.22 g/t gold over 7.6 meters
Thick, near-surface gold-silver mineralization is now defined continuously across 550 meters of strike length on nominal 50-meter spaced sections. The zone remains open on all sides and has been traced 150 meters down dip to date.
Approximately 45 holes and 9,300 meters have been completed to date out of the planned 100-hole and 20,000-meter program, with assays pending for 30 holes. Drilling has now moved to an eastern line of holes testing up to 300 meters down dip.
