Sat down with Alessia Russo as she hosted the second edition of the Alessia Cup.
We spoke about her foundation, adjusting to life in the spotlight and how a sit down with the Arsenal psychologist the day before the Paris game led to goals.

Wrote about the "margins" that Renee Slegers is hoping are going to start moving in Arsenal's favour.
Opta data tells us one thing and watching their games adds to the evidence. It's not great.

Following my reporting on @The_Cutback in May, the Rodman rule is no longer just for the Rodman rule. The eligibility criteria for the High Impact Player rule has been removed. One of several updates following NWSL-NWSLPA resolution on key issues.
The NWSL is set to amend its new High Impact Player (HIP) rule and remove the criteria that players had to meet in order to be signed on special contracts that were $1-million over the league salary cap, The Cutback can reveal.
The change would open the door for star players like Sam Kerr to earn salaries over the current cap.
Kerr has been heavily linked with a move to the NWSL when her contract with Chelsea expires at the end of the season.

Asked Renee Slegers in her pre-Spurs presser about the boos at the Emirates and she said it was the “sound of care”, and fans had a right to express their frustration.
Arsenal have sold out their away allocation for the north London derby tomorrow at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, just under 4,000 tickets sold. It's Arsenal's largest away crowd in the WSL in two and a half years.

No player was involved in more open-play attacking sequences (97) or created more chances (36) in the UWCL than Alexia Putellas this season.

Latest Opta stats pack but it's a thread of BAD stats for Arsenal and Spurs 🧵
#BarclaysWSL
Despite taking the third most shots (121), Arsenal have the worst conversion rate (4.1%), the third worst shooting accuracy (30.6%) and the third lowest average xG per shot (0.09) in the WSL so far this season.
