The owners are expecting David Moyes to get Europe and win a trophy with 12 players. I really hope this is just dithering Dave trying to play down expectations.

This is crazy, some will not agree, but a small squad and cutting off our noses. Can’t he just apologise and move on or is there a lot more to this?

Looked like he hacked through Barry lack to get the ball

We should be well and truly out of sight.

Can’t stand VAR. Ruins the game.

Really poor finishing. Can’t hit the target.

Armstrong mate. You cannot miss chances like that at this level Barry and Armstrong two massive chances. He can even take a touch. Wasteful. Poor.

Barry!! You have GOT to score. Premier league centre forward just make contact. Story of this season so many chances

Very negative right hand side but it was targeted in the last games. This just invited them on more.

Jack Grealish not in squad?! Surely not

Everton down to 14th place. Risk vs reward — our defensive negative style in the league has caught up with us. A lack of goals and conceding too many cheaply the other end. Obviously still early in the season but we’ve only won two matches — we have to start picking up points.

That fight at the end was actually class. Weirdly slows the game down, allows everyone to reset sort of.
