Not enough people know this: in practice, the IMF is controlled by the US.
The US is the only country that has de facto veto power at the IMF because the biggest decisions require an 85% supermajority of total voting power. The US' vote share is 16.5%
This was by design, and the supermajority threshold was actually moved in 1978 so that the US vote share would continue to give the country veto power.
We should not see the IMF as an organisation that serves global development.
We should see is as an organisation that serves mainly Western interests — and, above all, US interests.
That particular moment when Victoria Nuland, in 2016, was bragging to the US Congress about how thoroughly Washington had taken over Ukraine after the 2014 coup.
She spelled it all out without shame:
🔴US operatives embedded in a dozen Ukrainian ministries.
🔴American-trained cops patrolling 18 cities.
🔴The US Treasury gutting 60 Ukrainian banks while sparing depositors to keep people quiet.
🔴Hundreds of millions of dollars funneled into molding Ukraine’s military.
Let's cut all the crap, this wasn’t "assistance", it was a takeover dressed up as aid.
"Unprovoked"
😂😂😂😂

It is not enough to recognize Palestine.
Because recognition still assumes "Israel" has a right to exist as it is.
A colonial regime cannot coexist with the people it was built to erase.
So long as "Israel" is recognized, Palestine will never be free.
True justice begins not with recognition, but with un-recognition of the criminal project that calls itself a state.

Netanyahu has said that if Lula wins he WON'T visit Brazil.
Come on Brazil! That's the best reason ever to vote Lula.

Every time a Russian missile crashes into a building housing militia, it's said that Russia deliberately target civilians.
And during these usual morning Ukrainian photoshoots, a PR exercise unwraps.
While in the back they evacuate the surviving militia, in front of the struck building, the same man always wanders around, holding a dog in his arms.
He has managed to save this dog numerous times, all around the capital. What a lucky guy: €100 for barely 1 hour of work.
Equally: What a lucky EU. They feel assured to be on the deserving side of the war.
What a difference a dog makes.

This story is extremely important:
A whistleblower revealed that Brazil's far-right Bolsonaro family dynasty met with Meta to discuss US plans to interfere in Brazil's election, to prevent Lula from winning.
Lula's Facebook and Instagram accounts were censored a few days before the first round of the presidential election.
This had a huge impact on the election, because Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, which are all owned by Meta, are the most popular apps in Brazil, and are hugely influential all across Latin America. (Jair Bolsonaro's son Flávio was declared the winner of the first round of the vote, by a narrow margin.)
Meta later admitted that Lula's accounts had been restricted, but it claimed that this was supposedly due to a "technical error"...
The whistleblower who disclosed this is Nadia Beller, a Bolivian journalist who was almost killed by hitmen hired by Fernando Cerimedo, a far-right Argentine political operative who oversees election interference, bots, and disinformation campaigns.
Cerimedo is closely linked to the US government and has worked for pretty much every right-wing leader in Latin America. He was photographed with Donald Trump Jr. and members of the Bolsonaro family, and he received an award at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida a few months before he was arrested for the failed assassination attempt against Beller, his pregnant ex-girlfriend.

Divide and rule is older than any modern state.
It is among the most documented strategies in the history of power.
The British used it in India with such precision that the partition it produced still bleeds eighty years later.
The Belgians used it in Rwanda with such thoroughness that the categories they invented for colonial administration became the categories of a genocide.
Every colonial power worth its history has understood the same basic principle:
A population focused on internal division is a population not focused on you.
West Asia was divided by colonial powers who understood this perfectly.
The question is not whether it was divided.
The question is who has an interest, right now, in the divisions remaining exactly as they are.
Follow that interest.
It will not lead you to a complicated answer.

There is no "democracy" when US Big Tech corporations control and manipulate the social media platforms used by political candidates in elections around the world.
In the past, the CIA had to organize military coups. Today, it is much easier for the US empire to rig and steal foreign elections.
Now, the US government uses Silicon Valley monopolies to censor, silence, and ban the accounts of political candidates it doesn't like (like Lula and his left-wing allies), while promoting far-right puppet candidates who will happily sell out their countries to US corporations (like the Bolsonaro dynasty).
Washington has already done this across Latin America (rigging recent elections in Argentina, Colombia, Honduras, Peru, etc.), and today it is using Brazil as an imperial laboratory to master the science of electoral interference.
Liberal "democracy" has always been extremely undemocratic in practice, controlled by capitalist oligarchs, but with the US empire's global chokehold on technology today, it is a total farce.

China threw the table over at the United Nations, singling out and rebutting—one by one—the UK, Australia, Japan, Ireland, the Czech Republic, and Lithuania for stigmatizing China’s human rights record.
The era of the West saying “human rights” and expecting China to bow is over.
Chinese people are no longer impressed by moral vocabulary detached from material reality.
Fix your poverty.
Fix your racism.
Fix your collapsing trust.
Fix your own people’s lives.
China has never needed—and does not need—to model its human rights standards on the West’s so-called human rights.
China’s conception of human rights is grounded in a reality where people can live and work with security and dignity, where the country is prosperous and strong, and where national dignity means no one gets to dictate to China or sit in judgment over it.
What the West calls “human rights” is not a crown.
It is a slogan they keep wearing to hide the cracks underneath.
The West turned “human rights” into a certificate it issues to itself.
China no longer recognizes the issuing authority.

The U.S. does not have a human rights policy.
It has a human rights vocabulary.
It says "genocide" when an enemy kills.
It says "security" when an ally kills.
It says "terrorism" when the poor fight back.
It says "unfortunate" when a drone hits a family.
Everyone has seen this pattern.
The only people who still buy the story are those who need the story more than they need the truth.

If China truly ran concentration camps, America would be selling it fences, funding its police, and training its guards.
That’s what it did for every real dictatorship it ever loved.
The fact that Washington calls China a "threat" is the best proof China isn’t one.
