Pope Leo XIV bringing the jokes meeting with Villanova and Notre Dame 😂:
“Growing up on the south side of Chicago, we oftentimes heard, “Go Irish!”
But, as you all know, Prevost graduated from Villanova.
So the Pope doesn't take sides.
Prevost has another opinion, but we won't do that now.”

“THE POPE OF THE FAMILY” continues his mission to teach the dignity of human lives and the responsibility to build christian marriages and families.
On the Feast day of St John Paul II, we the Servants, had a celebration of the life and legacy of our beloved St John Paul II, after his votive Mass, we brought the world pilgrim relic of his blood which has remained liquid from the time of his passing.
During the veneration of his relics a young couple of apostles, our lay associates, became engaged to be married, consecrating this important and fundamental choice of life under the patronage of the Pope of the Family: John Paul, we place before your relics and your powerful intercession the healing, restoration and elevation of family life.

In his homily, the pope thanked all the staff—doctors, nurses, and support personnel—for the work they carry out every day in caring for the sick and their vulnerabilities, and, in particular, for all they have done and continue to do for him.

Would we call a Spanish-language immersion school successful if its graduates could barely understand Spanish?
We should take the mission of our Catholic schools just as seriously. Academic excellence matters. So does forming students who know Jesus Christ and can understand, articulate and live the faith.
Therefore, I am calling for a significant and genuine renewal of Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Portland, beginning in our Catholic elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools and eventually extending to the religious education and faith formation programs in our parishes. I am calling for a renewal of what we call “Mission Passionate Catholic Education.
