🚨🚨🚨 STARMER SEAT MP LINKED TO LARGE CONSULTANCY FEES AND ESTABLISHMENT DONATIONS Sagal Abdi-Wali’s record deserves scrutiny. Start with the organisations she helped govern, and who funded them. From October 2017 to March 2019, she was a director of the Council of Somali Organisations. Its 2018/19 accounts record £50,000 from Trust for London, £19,981 from People’s Postcode, £14,900 from Lloyds Bank Foundation and £9,867 from BBC Children in Need. Four funders for £94,748. What persuaded them to fund so much to an organisation like this, and what results did they verify? Were Lloyds and Postcode Lottery players aware they were funding this? In July 2021, she became a director of Voluntary Action Camden. In May 2022, she became a Camden councillor and retained her charity directorship until June 2023. During that overlap, Camden Council paid the charity £290,484, including £67,900 in consultancy fees. Serious scrutiny is required here for somebody wanting to enter Parliament.
