35 years after discovering “Blue Lines” (1991), seeing @MassiveAttackUK live again @forestnational was pure joy. “Unfinished Sympathy” and Shara Nelson’s voice hooked me from day one. Some music never loses its power #MassiveAttack #Concert #Brussels – at Brussels, Belgium

According to The Guardian, Macklemore’s “Free Palestine” concert in Dublin this week was “a worthwhile triumph”. Its reviewer was swept up in the “infectiously giddy excitement” of it all; the video messages from Mark Ruffalo and Cynthia Nixon, the surprise appearances by Hozier and Kneecap, the moshing, the sense that every artist on stage was “evidently committed to the cause”.
The rapper himself said the show made him “feel glorious”. As well it might, given that his career had been sliding into obscurity until the Free Palestine bandwagon pulled up alongside.
What the review did not mention was where the money was going. Among the beneficiaries listed by Macklemore for his sold-out shows in Dublin, Paris and London is the Palestinian Youth Movement, a group that described the October 7 massacre as a “prison break” and called the Hamas fighters who carried it out “the men who broke through”. Its British spokesperson has reportedly described the taking of hostages that day as “legitimate” and “effective”.
Last night, the tour arrived at Wembley Arena. Some 50 parliamentarians, in a letter organised by Lord Walney, have asked the Home Secretary to bar Macklemore from the country. Unreasonable? Well, anybody who still believes this is simply a concert for “Palestinian children” should look more closely at who was on stage, who was in the audience and what they were cheering for...

Collectieve armoede.

Following the devastating tragedy that occurred in 1989 at Cleveland Elementary School in Stockton, where five children lost their lives and more than thirty were injured, Michael Jackson decided to take action away from the public spotlight.
Moved by the community’s grief, the artist helped cover the victims’ funeral costs to ease the burden on their families.
Shortly afterward, the King of Pop visited the school in person to spend time with the children, survivors, and teachers as they were in the midst of the healing process. Seeing the biggest star on the planet walking the hallways of their school felt surreal to the children, bringing back smiles and hope to classrooms that had been plunged into fear.
That act of kindness stands as a testament to Michael Jackson’s charitable commitment to children struck by tragedy.

Eight of the twelve jurors were parents.
One female juror’s sister had been r*ped as a child.
Another female juror had two nieces who had suffered sexual molestation.

Michael Jackson is an important historical figure. In some respects, the most.
A biopic about him, if well directed, & well played, should be the most anticipated. Audience score for #MichaelMovie was 97%, highest ever.
Awards, if critical & not hypothetical should be down to one question: is any movie more important?
In reality, award circuits, and, media narratives, are stuck in a loop that expired 20 years ago.
FBI, LAPD, 20 different child services departments secretly wiretapped, scoured and dug into Michael Jackson for 13 long years. They stacked up 600 pages of forensic methodologies. Secret surveillance crossed state & international jurisdictions. Over a decade long marathon investigation racked up absolutely ZERO evidence of criminal conduct.
Officially, the FBI & other agencies only stopped going after Michael Jackson after the Santa Barbara county court took up the case in 2005. For 14 weeks, 140 witnesses were cross examined. The final jury was made up of 8 women and 4 men, age ranges from 20 to 79 years. They included a civil engineer with a graduate degree, a computer programmer, a physical therapist, and a UPS delivery driver who noted he had previously delivered packages to Jackson's Neverland Ranch. Jurors also included a supervisor for the Department of Social Services, an educational service aide, a student nurse and a 79-year-old great-grandmother.
Eight of the twelve jurors were parents.
One female juror’s sister had been r*ped as a child.
Another female juror had two nieces who had suffered sexual molestation.
The 79-year-old juror was a grandparent to a registered sex offender.
7 of the jurors were white, 4 were Hispanic, 1 was Asian. Race heavily influenced the public discourse surrounding the trial, and caused public skepticism because there is a historical precedent of jury prejudice against racial minorities.
Jury demographics sparked significant national discussion because there was ZERO black representation on the final 12-person panel.
Media coverage was relentless, and heavily prejudiced. Unprecedented public spectacle lasted 14 weeks. 140 witnesses testified. On June 13 2005, all 10 criminal counts and 4 misdemeanors were thrown out in court.
Verdict: Michael Jackson was NOT GUILTY.
In the past 20 years, several researchers including @DrJoeVogel, @jin_chohan and @RuckerJael, have exposed the unethical background of the allegations. Case should never have gone to court.
But: the final verdict has not stopped the allegation industrial complex from continuing to churn out even more films, documentaries and headlines falsifying the records.
Despite the campaign of hate, the biopic pushed past prejudiced rotten tomato ratings and media skepticism, past Bohemian Rhapsody, past Oppenheimer, to become the first biographical film of any kind in history to make over one billion dollars at the box office.
The Golden Globes has made a controversial decision not to consider the biopic as a musical. This week, Critics Choice Association's named debut actor Jaafar Jackson the recipient of the Actor Award.
Jaafar previously won Best Actor at the 2026 Astra Midseason Movie Awards over nominees like Ryan Gosling and Ralph Fiennes.
If the Oscars follow, it will be a surprise, but not because Jaafar has any real competition. These days, even faceless bots with zero followers are driving hateful commentary on posts about Michael Jackson.
Jaafar’s recent public appearances glow with increasing confidence reminiscent of Michael Jackson himself.
His future is bright.
Part 2 biopic, SuperMax, Tiger Woods biopic and many more will cement Jaafar’s rise. He is the actor to watch.
Will the Oscars & Golden Globe rise to the occasion? Time is ticking.

On Monday night, with the glass still being swept up from the latest événements, French viewers were offered a spectacle almost as compelling as the riots.
A young, blonde, radical left-wing woman appeared on France’s La Grande Confrontation TV show and gave a performance mixing, in equal parts, conviction, narcissism, privilege, contempt and, at best, a highly selective grasp of history. And all delivered from a face of transfixing beauty.
Her name is Lola-Fleur Whittaker. She is 23, and a Sciences Po student who stood for Mélenchon’s La France Insoumise in the Paris municipals this spring.
Facing shopkeepers in the TV studio, whose premises had been looted, she excused the rioters and condescendingly explained to the traders: “Vos boutiques, c’est bien mignon.” Literally: oh your shops, how sweet.
