IGAD Convenes IGAD Leadership Academy Annual Alumni Conference in Nairobi
Happening now in Nairobi, IGAD is convening the first IGAD Leadership Academy ILA Annual Alumni Conference at the Windsor Golf Hotel under the theme Harnessing Youth Leadership to Drive Africa’s Growth.
Established in 2022 following approval by IGAD Heads of State and Government, and in partnership with the Government of Japan, the IGAD Leadership Academy has trained and mentored over 80 young leaders from across the region. The Conference brings together alumni from three cohorts to launch the ILA Alumni Network and its national chapters, strengthening cross border collaboration and youth led leadership for peace, governance, and regional integration.

Heavy downpour in Juba this morning. I am glad that the amount of plastic bottles being washed away is minimal. My next challenge is the single use plastic bags. Let’s get rid of them too. #SSOX
