The first time I went to an Everton match was during the FA Cup in 1989. Unfortunately, it went the wrong way. Tonight, they didn’t disappoint. Thanks for the invite, @andyburnham.

Evertonians. 🤝 British Prime Minister Andy Burnham and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney are both in attendance for tonight’s game at Hill Dickinson Stadium. 🔵

Dear @baseballhall, I think I speak for all Quebec baseball fans when I say how disappointed we are that Jacques Doucet, who passed away today, never got to see his name be inducted in the hall. Despite letters I wrote to the committee years ago speaking of Jacques health, all I got in return was a letter saying my message would be passed along to Frank C. Frick voters. Not to take anything away from all the other members who were recently voted in, I don't think any of them invented a baseball vocabulary in another language, in order to make sure french canadiens could understand the intricacies of the game. Some of them are still active today, what was the rush? He held the mic on french radio/tv here for over 50 years calling Expos, Blue Jays and Capitales games. Everyone knows how worthy he is of his spot in the hall, that there is no doubt. But to have waited this long and to still have not recognized him, is a shame. I know he will find his way in some day, cause his resume speaks for itself, but it would have been much better had he lived to see it. Special note for Rodger Brulotte, who according to me, also deserves his spot in the hall. The Expos might be gone, but it's up to you to keep our history alive.

Saddened to hear of Jacques Doucet's passing. He was a delightful man and superb play-by-play announcer. If you live in Quebec, you know. May his memory be a blessing.

Good Sunday morning from St. Andrews! Have you ever experienced a Sunday at the Old Course? The golf course is closed every Sunday - a tradition dating back to the 1500’s. 🐶Dogs running around playing fetch across tees and fairways. 🚲Kids riding bicycles across the 18th fairway. 👦🏼Toddlers running around the Himalayas. 🧺Picnics being enjoyed in front of the R&A clubhouse. It’s such a neat experience. #GolfHistory

When California was burning, Canada sent fire fighters, planes and assistance — not insults. I was proud to meet them, and to thank them, when they would break for dinner. As California and other states step up to repay the favor, we should do so without the threats and ramblings of a failing leader. We should show some humanity.
Trump: We are holding Canada responsible for the fact that they are not properly maintaining their Forests, and Brush therein, and the United States is being unnecessarily invaded by filthy, polluted, and unhealthy air, the quality of which is dangerous, and totally unacceptable! I will call the Prime Minister during the day to find out what they are going to do about it. The cost is incalculable! Canada has refused to engage in basic Forest Management and Debris Removal, knowing that such refusal will lead to exactly this result. This is Willful Negligence, and becoming a yearly occurrence, costing the United States Billions of Dollars, which cost of this pollution must of necessity be added to the TARIFFS Canada is currently paying.

Bring back Sepp. A proper brown envelopesman. Make corruption classy again.
Red cards are not overturned by political phone calls. They are overturned by rules, evidence and independent bodies. If a U.S. President intervenes with the FIFA President — and a player is suddenly cleared before a World Cup knockout match — the question is unavoidable: Quo vadis, FIFA? Football must never become a playground for political power. #FIFA #WorldCup #GianniInfantino #DonaldTrump

We have sent a notice to cease & desist to the Milwaukee Brewers. Having rain fall inside a stadium with a closed retractable roof is the intellectual property of the Montreal Expos.

Can also never forget. Ken Dryden provided the colour commentary to Al Michael’s play by play during the Miracle on Ice in 1980. Absolutely legendary career both on and off the ice.
