Probably the most important five minutes of Dr. Karp talking about the momentum of the Sovereign AI movement, from the beginning.
This is when we pivoted the whole company to focus, and the speed at which things are picking up is unprecedented.
You don’t often get to see an internal all-hands at Palantir.
Super raw, but this is where we’re going. Released three months ago. The signal is there for those who want to see.
"My IP is in danger and I'm getting no value."
When customers come to our sovereign boot camps, I often hear: “What I just heard is completely opposite of what I thought Palantir is and stands for. This is amazing.”
I can’t stress enough how many times I have this exact conversation with customers. They see a parallel to how the software industrial complex has screwed them over for the last 30 years.
They spend $10-100s of millions of dollars to buy and implement software, yet see no net value increase, even as everyone says they need it to run their business. Then the software worsens, prices rise, and they are left with technical debt. Now it’s outdated, and they must spend boatloads of money to upgrade as it reaches EOL.
This story is as old as the software industry.
Everyone sees models and model companies behaving as the latest incarnation of this. They spend time and money to “be more productive” because everyone is doing it and they don’t want to be left behind. At the risk of their IP, they implement AI models but see no bottom-line improvement, while being told they just haven’t done it right yet.
In reality, their dollars and IP are migrating to Silicon Valley, and they are waking up to this.
At Palantir, we provide IP protection AND better models than frontier labs that you own. I would argue that Sovereignty goes much further than just model weights. You need to look at Sovereignty at all layers of your software and business stack. That is what we are doing: holistically helping customers own their sovereignty across the whole stack.
The speed that we are doing this is like nothing I have ever seen. We started this in June 4th when we posted a full-page ad in the WSJ that just said “Protect your sovereignty”. The response we got was nonlinear, we have seen an unprecedented demand for building out Sovereign systems with our customers and the results they see are incredible.
In reality this has always been our stance and our platforms and technology have been building for this moment for the last 20 years. 🚀
What if our understanding of intelligence is being limited by the very framework we use to recognize it?
This question is at the heart of why I’m so passionate about the State of the World Forum 2026 I’ve been developing together with Jim Garrison and Thomas Eddington, PhD
Our theme, Exploring the Multi-Intelligence Frontier, brings together questions that I feel belong in the same conversation: human consciousness, intelligence in living systems, AI, and the unresolved phenomena we are learning how to investigate in our skies.
For me, the deeper question is what all of this means for how we understand ourselves and our relationship with the world. Can we recognize intelligence that looks nothing like our own? Can we allow new evidence to change our assumptions?
The assumptions we hold about intelligence shape the technologies we build, the way we treat the living world, and the futures we imagine possible. That makes this a conversation with consequences for all of us.
This Saturday, November 7, I’m honoured to host “At the Edge of Our World Model” with Anita Goel, Michael Levin, Julian D. Michels, Susan Manewich, Beatriz Villarroel and David Dominguez Hooper.
We’ll explore molecular information processing, cells organising into new living forms, AI, plasma research and new approaches to investigating UAP. What excites me most is the opportunity to put these researchers into dialogue and follow the questions that emerge between their fields.
I would love you to join us. Bring your curiosity, your scepticism and your questions. And please share this invitation with your network, especially with someone who might bring a different perspective.

This is most certainly gonna be worthwile
New Interview with the great Rupert Sheldrake dropping in 90 minutes. We talk about:
1) His belief that plasma represents another form of life and that the sun may be "conscious"
2) Morphic fields and shared learnings across generations that transcend genetics and epigenetics
3) "The physics of angels" (a book he wrote)
4) His idea that consciousness exists outside the brain

This is genuinely one of the most badass headlines of the 2020s. Eventually they’ll succeed but only when novel instruments are designed by super intelligence, since human ones have mostly failed us. 🫡🛸

New Press Release from States of Jersey Police:
Police appeal for witnesses following drone reports near Jersey Airport
States of Jersey Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a multi-agency response to reports of multiple drones operating in the vicinity of Jersey Airport on the evening of Friday 30 October 2026.
The first report was received at approximately 8:20pm, with reported drone activity continuing until approximately 10.30pm.
The reports prompted an extensive response involving States of Jersey Police, the Honorary Police, Channel Islands Air Search, Government of Jersey colleagues and Ports of Jersey staff, with significant operational resources deployed throughout the evening to locate those responsible and protect aviation and public safety.
Officers and partner agencies carried out searches across several areas in the west of the Island. Despite the scale of the operation, no drone operator has yet been identified, and police enquiries are continuing.
The reported drone activity occurred within restricted airspace and active flight paths, resulting in significant disruption to airport operations and passengers.
Three inbound aircraft were initially diverted. One of the three was ultimately able to land safely in Jersey at around 11.45pm. Jersey airport stayed open to facilitate this.
Passengers experienced considerable delays and inconvenience while agencies worked to ensure the safety of aircraft, passengers and crew.
We should not underestimate the impact that this had on travelling passengers, staff at the airport and the wider community.
Witness appeal
Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the St Peter, La Pulente, Watersplash, El Tico, L'Etacq, Jubilee Hill or surrounding areas during the relevant period on Friday evening.
We want to hear from anyone who:
• saw a drone or drones operating in these areas;
• saw anyone who appeared to be operating a drone;
• noticed people or vehicles in unusual locations who may be connected to the activity; or
• has dashcam, CCTV, doorbell or mobile phone footage from the area which might assist the investigation.
We would also ask anyone who was operating a drone in or around these areas on Friday evening to contact police.
Even if you believe what you saw was insignificant, please let us know. A small piece of information, footage or an observation may help officers establish where the drones were being operated from and identify those responsible.
Anyone with information should contact States of Jersey Police on 612612, quoting reference M07922/2026.
Information can also be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or through its online form.
Drone safety
Operating a drone in restricted airspace around an airport without appropriate permission can put aircraft, passengers, crew and people on the ground at risk.
Drone users are responsible for understanding where they can fly and for complying with the relevant aviation rules and restrictions. In particular, drones should never be flown near aircraft or within restricted airport airspace without appropriate permission.

“Interested but unconvinced” is a respectable position, Michael. It makes a rather less impressive security clearance.
Your post establishes neither what Stratton may lawfully disclose nor what he has provided through authorized channels. A declined invitation settles neither question. Your booking calendar is doing a remarkable amount of scientific work here.
Demand stronger evidence for his claims, certainly. Declaring the entire UAP field a religion is a sweeping claim of your own. Your evidentiary standards become remarkably forgiving when the conclusion happens to be yours.
@ProfAviLoeb, I respect your efforts to bring serious scientific scrutiny to UAP. Does Shermer speak for the council here?
He has spent decades in science’s commentary box and now appears to regard the microphone as a research instrument. What relevant empirical work or access to evidence supports his declaration that the entire field is a religion?
I understand the value of including skeptical voices. What puzzles me is choosing a public voice who announces the diagnosis before explaining the examination. What, specifically, is he contributing to the investigation?

Here is the gold standard of UFO videos!
The “Flyby” UFO Footage🥇
Did you know that an older version than "Danny Lampkin" exists on the internet? This is the "frossani" version which was published two months earlier (March 5, 2008) and which has now been deleted from YouTube. Its resolution is higher as you can see in this comparison at 00:19
This video is a leak so no information can be confirmed but it is very likely that this video was filmed in 2006 (or earlier) from an F/A-18 Hornet coming from an American military base located in Italy.
When whistleblowers mention the existence of UFO videos filmed from just a few meters away, I believe they are referring to the original version of this video, among others.

In an era of rapidly evolving technology, we need to decouple *jobs* from *identity.*
Instead of asking kids “what do you want to be when you grow up?”, ask them what problems they want to solve, what skills they hope to learn and what creative ways they hope to change the world.

This is certainly going to be an interesting discussion!
Unfortunately, many disciplines generally have a limited perspective on the nature of intelligence.
I also recommend the following post, which introduces the concept of intelligence as an intrinsic aspect of reality:
minervaluminosa.org/en/intel…
Understanding the scaling laws doesn't mean understanding intelligence or being able to steer superintelligence.
Dario reveals the people who called his GPT-2 fears "pseudoscience" in 2019 are now all applying for jobs at AI labs
"I personally was super freaked out by [GPT-2]. I looked at it and I said, my God, you just scale this thing up another factor of a million and it'll be better than humans at everything. This is the defining economic and scientific moment of the modern age. We just don't know it yet. This is going to determine the fate of nations and economies and the future of humanity."
"Maybe 10% of the people around me had exactly the same reaction, and it was often the smartest ones. 90% of the people around me, because GPT-2's capabilities in any particular area were not that impressive, it could translate languages, summarize a document and write a few lines of code here and there. It was the broadness and the generality."
"But people would look at it and say, in any particular area, that doesn't seem so smart. And so many people just shrugged and they just dismissed it."
"I just look at it and I say it's the same thing over and over again. The limitations of the models, six months from now, the things that seemed hard, they're going to be easy. 12 months from now, the things that seemed impossible, the models are going to be doing them regularly."
"It's everything we saw with GPT-2; we're seeing it over and over again in wider and wider swaths of the world. And the world is gradually finally being convinced."
Daniela Amodei: "I remember at the time there were some very well-respected computer scientists and AI and ML leaders who basically bullied some of the researchers who worked on [GPT-2] on Twitter and were like, this is stupid. We don't know why you guys are even talking, this model is so incapable."
"It was like you were sort of a quack if you believed this was a really significant moment."
Dario: "That's all been memory-holed. All the researchers who were like, oh, this is pseudoscience, it doesn't make sense, all of them are applying for jobs at the LLM companies."
"We never say it out loud to any particular one, but we look at them and they're like, we remember what you were saying in 2019. You have no credibility on this matter."
