I'm so sick and tired of people thinking the jury is deciding the guilty/not guilty binary. They have 5 options, and have to unanimously agree on a single one: 1st degree murder 2nd degree murder Manslaughter Not guilty by reason of insanity Not guilty 4/5 will see her locked up

I hate how vile people hijacked the term moral relativism. it used to be an answer to the atrocious moral absolutism. self defence? that is moral relativism. 1st, 2nd degree murder/ manslaughter? under a moral absolute there is only a "killed someone". it's an unlimited rulebook.
