Besides the obvious Scarecrow answer, I think @BlackDesertUT was my favorite new-to-me golf course in 2024. Simply spectacular setting. Photo by @BrianOarGolf because his shots of this place are epic and mine don’t do it justice.

What is the ONE most memorable thing you’ve ever encountered or experienced on a golf trip? I’m looking for inspiration.

Btw, golf-course photography is hard work. After a week of being at courses before sunrise + ending the day shooting at sunset, I’m going to need a massage and a few days’ sleep 😂 If you follow the good course photographers on X and Insta (you know who they are), let ‘em know you appreciate their work. More goes into every post than you’d expect. Here’s an early morning snap from Talking Stick in Scottsdale this week.

It’s easy to forget how great some golf courses are when you don’t play them regularly. Every time I return to @AkChin_SoDunes, I’m reminded — especially on an evening like we had while shooting for @GolfScottsAZ on Thursday. Here’s the par-3 No. 11 at sunset. Photo by me. @Troon @TroonGolf

Sun in the trees and long shadows on the par-4 10th @AkChin_SoDunes this afternoon. One of my favorite @TroonGolf facilities in the Southwest.

Just made an 11 at We-Ko-Pa. What’s the biggest score you’ve carded?

Sights around @TroonNorthGC this afternoon.

I’m gonna stay in one of these this November on a @GolfPackagePros trip to Scottsdale 👀
