I cannot believe I can finally call my beautiful partner, my husband. We're MARRIED at last - after 23 years together. Such a beautiful, moving day. #MarriageEquality #LoveWins

Eventually the media training fails, the talking points dry up, and someone asks how you’ll fix Labor’s spending by spending even more. Jess Wilson hoped nobody would notice before the election. Instead, her friendly chat with Neil Mitchell became a car crash.

There is a genocide in Gaza. This artwork tells part of that truth. It is appallingly that governments, local, state or federal, are acting to suppress that truth. This artwork showed in Canberra, it exposed violence, it didn’t cause it. That’s its power. theguardian.com/australia-ne…

From this week, every three year old in Australia is eligible for a Healthy Kids Check by their GP. This new program is part of Thriving Kids: it aims to identify children with emerging developmental problems so they can get the support they need as soon as possible. Early intervention works best if it is accessible, affordable, and available when families need it. The government needs to ensure that, when issues are identified, the services that these children need are there for them and their parents - that they don't just go onto waiting lists for months or years. abc.net.au/news/2026-11-01/t…

MAGA has spent $300 million on ads attacking trans people. That money could be spent on 4 million bags of groceries. 71 million gallons of gas. 8.4 million months of insulin. Americans deserve leaders who take our struggles seriously. Tomorrow, we vote MAGA out.

Trans people are not the reason costs are skyrocketing. We are people and we deserve safety. Not to be scapegoated for MAGA's failures. Tomorrow, we vote MAGA out.

#BREAKING Albanese Gov has announced people seeking asylum will now have to pay upfront at least $1863 just to lodge an appeal of their refugee claim. The only chance to present their claim to a human being & Gov knows most will be to poor. People will die because of this.

If Pauline Hanson and her Trumpist, Faragist F#*K YOU grievance party get anywhere near the levers of legislative power in Victoria, NSW or federally they will undermine Australia’s democracy, as only vested interest authoritarians can. Electors shouldn’t touch them with a barge pole.

Why did Shoalhaven City Council ban the Wall of Tears art display? Stay with me. Did you know former NSW Liberal MP Andrew Constance took a fully paid study tour of Israel a few years back? It was hosted by the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies & Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce, (chaired by Jillian Segal at the time, who we must presume approved all expenses) On his return, Constance firmly defended the foundational rights of Israel, stating on NSW parliamentary record: "The yearning to return to the land of Israel - and the right to return since its establishment - is fundamental." Constance also said in parliament: "To anybody who is in any doubt about the philosophical issues that are there (in Israel), I urge them to visit and see it for themselves." Over the years, former Liberal MP Andrew Constance has formally acknowledged and maintained strong professional relationships with key community organizations, particularly the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies and the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce. In September 2025 after leaving NSW politics, Andrew Constance became the CEO of Shoalhaven City Council. There's always a trail.

With the RBA lining up to whack mortgage holders again, here’s the far fairer way to take the heat out of the economy, and tackle inflation. We tax the 1% and rein in their spending on data centres and their obvious excess, don’t keep punching down on mortgage holders.

Govt can find $368B and an additional $$150B to purchase nuclear subs and store weapons grade nuclear waste yet poor Australians survive in a tents. Public housing for US troops while battlers are ignored. What has Australia become? Why do we put warmongering before people?

In the recent Senate Estimates Michelle Bullock, Governor of the Reserve Bank, said she is "not worried" about the rapid rise in unemployment from 4.1% to 4.7% this year that has led to about an extra 100,000 unemployed Australians in our country. That is shameful.

There are 230 police in the new Armed Response Command, compared to half that number spread across the state in DV roles, no central command & most being overworked & under resourced. When is @ChrisMinnsMP going to make a genuine commitment to reduce & prevent growing DV crimes?

In 2022, Jess Wilson said gas would only be used intermittently for electricity generation, as a peaking fuel during the transition, reducing and reducing over time. Now Bev McArthur is calling the shots, and suddenly it’s “drill, baby, drill.” Receipt in tweet 2. 1/2
Renewables are delivering the cheapest generation of electricity. Yet the Liberal Party wants to increase your power bills by drilling for more gas and extending the life of coal fired power. If you want cheaper and cleaner energy, vote 1 Sophie Torney.

Dear Treasurer @JEChalmers and Finance Minister @SenKatyG, while you search for savings to appease the inflation monster, please get serious about revenues: e.g. a fairer tax on publicly owned natural resources e.g. gas exports. This would be overwhelmingly supported by the Australian people.
