Indoor outfield drill
With winter approaching and most teams moving to indoors, you may be a limited on what you can do BUT there are always modifications! Even with limited space, you can get a lot done and work on the fundamentals.
For this drill, we are mimicking a ball over the head of the outfielder, where she has to turn and go, pick up the ball and throw to a target. Balls that are stationary, she’s using one hand. Balls that are still moving, she’s going two.

HITTERS: What's your purpose and plan when you're hitting BP?
I see a lot of hitters chasing exit velocities.
Instead, try and hit a line drive off the L screen.
Every time.
Your purpose will provide your consistency.

"We want as much surface area and we want to stop the ball when it gets to us. The other hand is going to take care of the rest." 🫡 💪

Old school thumb roll/turn the doorknob move. Still think this is a viable move on low glove side pitches. It’s a minimalist move & eliminates the “chicken wing” take it out of the zone move.

Baseball is not an equal opportunity sport. The best players play. Want more playing time? Get better.
Consistently barrel balls up in practice/scrimmages, improve your defense/arm strength, increase your strike throwing percentage with two quality pitches. Become the best choice.

• No gloves + quick transfers
• Mix in forehand + backhand flips
• Follow your flip to the next cone
⭐️ Awesome drill to get the hands, eyes & mind warmed up. Works great at youth levels as well!
