Game completed: Deep Fear (Saturn)
Segaโs answer to Resident Evil is a claustrophobic underwater thriller that I really enjoy, terrible 90s voice acting and all!
As the last PAL Saturn game and having never released in the US, itโs shame itโs not more widely known.

If it was 4K Iโd be buying that Mega Sg+.
I just donโt think in 2026 you can get away with 1080p for a premium device playing games that ultimately require very little horsepower.
Shame! Fingers crossed for the next iteration!

Game completed: Asterix (Master System)
Childhood favourite that Iโve not played through in a long time!
This platformer has some fantastic level design and presentation that really captures the charm of the series.
For me one of the best games on the system!
New pick up - Star Wars: Galactic Racer!
An impulse purchase after seeing all the fantastic reviews and commentary on the game - sounds right up my street and looks gorgeous!

I can't see how someone who has played both consoles extensively can find 20 N64 games better than:

Panzer Dragoon Saga
Virtua Cop 1/2
Shining Force 3
NiGHTS into Dreams
Dragon Force
Guardian Heroes
Fighters Megamix
And so many more...

That is insanely generous to the N64. While you canโt deny the stone cold classics on that system, it also objectively has the smallest and least diverse library of that generation ๐คทโโ๏ธ

Either new controllers designed for old systems, or retro-style controllers for modern platforms? ๐พ
Personally I love them, and companies like @8BitDo & @retrofightersco have produced some fantastic bits of kit that I use a lot! โค๏ธ
