“This case is the result of incredible cooperation among law enforcement agencies, and it shows that we and our law enforcement partners will make exceptional efforts to investigate and prosecute human rights abuses, narco-terrorism, and narcotics trafficking around the world.”
A superseding indictment was just unsealed charging Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores with conspiracy to commit torture, including the alleged torture of United States citizens for over two decades, in addition to the narcotics trafficking and weapons offenses already charged.
