Portsmouth Naval Base, United Kingdom. Today, aboard the Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth, UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham @andyburnham and I had our first meeting. We greatly appreciate that our team is the first to visit the United Kingdom since Andy Burnham took office. This is an important signal of support, and the Prime Minister assured us that this support remains unwavering.
We discussed our defense – for Ukraine, it is important to have sufficient capabilities to protect lives both in the sky and at sea. We also discussed the development of joint defense production. I am grateful to the United Kingdom for today's decision to provide Ukraine with electronic warfare technologies to protect Ukrainian drones. This will certainly be useful on the battlefield. Together, we can achieve even more in the field of drones and other technologies. I invited Andy to visit Ukraine. Thank you, Britain!

Its new name, 48 Commando, continues that proud record, honours the legacy of those who fought to liberate Europe in WWII, and recognises it is adapting to a new era.
