Charlotte Douglas International Airport says Etihad's inaugural flight from Abu Dhabi to Charlotte will proceed on Friday. Etihad is flying its 371-seat Airbus A350-1000 in place of the originally scheduled Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner. The return flight to Abu Dhabi is scheduled to depart as planned. Etihad Airways is currently operating on a limited commercial flight schedule
Abu Dhabi is the 44th international destination from Charlotte.
A spokesperson for Charlotte Douglas says there will be no media availability.
