“Prediction market” itself is a nonsensical propaganda term deliberately designed to hide reality and con people into believing they’re not gambling. It’s a betting contract. It predicts nothing. You are betting on an outcome. Are point spreads predictive? Of course not. They’re nothing more than a number that gets you to where you have the same amount of money on either side so the bookmaker never takes a loss.
First, full disclosure, as always: Kalshi is a sponsor on our show. So people will take any opinion with a grain of salt, which is fine. But at the heart of the Kalshi question is a simpler one: what’s the difference between a prediction market and a traditional betting platform, like DraftKings? I asked Tarek Mansour that question directly. Here’s his answer.

We ... we did do a deal with the British to end the American Revolution. It's called the Treaty of Paris. They're so desperate to lionize a foreign president that they'll ignore basic facts about America.
Churchill could have shortened WW2 by years if he had just “done a deal” with Hitler. George Washington could have done a deal to end the American Revolution. Zelenskyy is in good company.

You should obviously never vote for Dems but this is why the “shut up and just get behind whatever the GOP is doing” strategy is a mistake It was obvious that Vivek was a disastrous candidate and when you force your voters to support bad candidates it costs you something

Why not? White Americans who vote Democrat do it all the time.
It’s unbelievable that Indian Americans didn’t just accept being insulted, turn the other cheek and vote Republican.

We need to have a serious conversation about how Irish immigration ruined this country.

Social Security is the biggest Ponzi scheme in history.
Who’s ready for some real talk on Social Security? Here it is: you didn’t “pay in” to Social Security, there’s no deposit account with “your” money in it, and every single dime of Social Security taxes you’ve paid in your entire life went directly to someone else or was frittered away by Congress. For many decades after the program was created, there was more money collected in Social Security taxes paid in than money spent on benefits. This was due to the demographics of the country at the time: in 1950 there were 16 workers paying Social Security taxes for every 1 recipient of benefits, whereas today there are fewer than 3 workers per beneficiary. So obviously, all that extra money collected for decades when there were more taxes collected than benefits paid was set aside and invested, right? LOL. If only. Instead of setting all that extra money aside and protecting it for future beneficiaries, Congress spent it. Every last penny. Every dollar that has been collected in Social Security taxes has been spent. What Congress did instead of saving money was create a massive IOU which it dishonestly called the Social Security Trust Fund. Except there’s no trust and there’s no fund. It’s just a gigantic IOU, like in Dumb and Dumber. There’s no numbered account with money in it waiting to be withdrawn. Where does this leave us? Beginning around 2020, payroll taxes collected were no longer sufficient to pay for current Social Security benefits, so money had to printed or borrowed from elsewhere. As more and more money has to be borrowed to pay current benefits, the Social Security Trust Fund balance is reduced. Once it reaches zero—and right now that is expected to happen within the next 10 years—the government is legally prohibited from paying out more in benefits than it collects in Social Security payroll taxes each year. And that will mean an instant cut in Social Security benefits of around 20 percent. By the year 2100, expected benefits will be just 65 percent of promised benefits. As of today, a 75-year-old who worked for 50 years and earned the median salary will have paid close to $100,000 in Social Security payroll taxes over his life. Based on average life expectancy of another 12 years, he will collected more than $500,000 in Social Security benefits, and those payments will come not from a savings account somewhere, but from taxes paid by his children and grandchildren. But when it comes time for the people paying directly for his Social Security checks to receive their benefits, they won’t get nearly as much as he gets, because the Trust Fund will be bankrupt. The people paying for the Social Security benefits of Baby Boomers today will pay significantly more into the system than the Boomers ever did, but will receive a fraction of the eventual payout. Does that seem fair? In light of those facts, is it really accurate to say you “earned” that Social Security payment? Of course it isn’t. Social Security is welfare for American retirees. And it’s a welfare system that is not only a total waste of money designed to give Congress an even bigger budget to fritter away (if you invested your Social Security taxes, your lump sum at retirement would be 5x higher than your expected lifetime benefits from Social Security), it’s also deeply immoral. Because of the current demographics in the country, Social Security takes money from workers today so it can give retirees 3-5x more than they ever paid in AND will pay out significantly less when it’s time for the people currently paying into the system to collect their own benefits. Boomers receive 3-5x more than they paid in, while their grandchildren will receive 35 percent less than what they were promised. They originally called this the New Deal when it was created, but it’s a raw deal for everyone currently being forced to pay into it. So let’s stop with the pretense that Social Security is anything other than a poorly designed welfare scheme for retirees.

Indians have never built a country. Their country had to be given to them by the British, forged out of dozens of competing kingdoms, sultanates, and principalities and tempered by British colonial bureaucracy.
Being poorly educated, Groypers and white nationalists are limited to a few phrases, mostly cliches. “Crashout.” “Mask off.” “Factory settings.” Plus foreign phrases they don’t understand. “Jeet.” “Izzat.” Such people can inherit a country but can’t come close to building one.

TN gubernatorial candidate @MarshaBlackburn is right: Christa Pike should have been executed a long time ago, and not by lethal injection. This horribly botched execution could have been avoided. It's hard to botch a firing squad. My latest @FDRLST thefederalist.com/2026/10/02…

Senator Grassley says Jack Smith obtained communications from multiple media outlets including The Federalist!!! Reminder that @fdrlst was one of only media outlets to report critically on FBI and DOJ when they perpetrated Russia collusion hoax against the American people.

BREAKING: Statement From Sean Davis, CEO and Co-Founder of The Federalist: Corrupt cop Jack Smith spied on The Federalist and accessed our communications during his lawless anti-Trump witch hunt. We are still working to determine which of our reporters were targeted by Jack Smith and which journalistic communications he and his thugs seized. The latest facts about Jack Smith’s illegal jihad were released by Sen. Charles Grassley during a Senate Judiciary Committee oversight hearing on Tuesday. The Federalist’s team of investigative reporters exposed the Russian collusion hoax. We exposed the Kavanaugh hoax. We exposed the Ukraine impeachment hoax. And The Federalist’s Editor-in-Chief Mollie Hemingway wrote the definitive account of how Democrats seized control of election infrastructure and destroyed the integrity of American elections in 2020. For over a decade, The Federalist has fearlessly exposed Deep State corruption and DOJ lies and lawfare. Spying on us was apparently part of Jack Smith’s plot to get revenge against us. The First Amendment is the bedrock of the American Constitution. A free press is integral to the American republic and our entire way of life. And Jack Smith fed the whole thing through a shredder in his insane and illegal attempt to rig the 2024 elections through lawfare, intimidation, and unconstitutional attacks on free speech and the First Amendment. As shocking as this news may be to some, I am not surprised to learn of this behavior by Jack Smith and the Biden administration. At the direction of the Biden administration, the federal government illegally censored The Federalist, tried to bankrupt us, and was eventually forced to admit it had zero legal authority to do any of it. We took these thugs to court and won when we learned of their illegal censorship efforts, and we will explore all legal options going forward to deal with Jack Smith’s lawless and un-American attempts to silence us by spying on us. Nobody in corporate media said a word in our defense when we were illegally censored. Outlets like CNN and the New York Times, which posture as First Amendment purists, had nothing to say about the Biden administration’s illegal attempts to punish us for our rigorous and accurate journalism. I have zero doubt that they will be similarly silent today, because they are partisan hacks who supported Jack Smith’s egregious lawfare every step of the way. Unlike corrupt corporate media, The Federalist will always fearlessly and accurately report the news, even in the face of never-ending Democrat assaults on the First Amendment, free speech, and freedom of the press. We will never back down, and we will never stop reporting the facts and defending the greatest nation and greatest people on earth. Hillary Clinton couldn’t stop us, Joe Biden couldn’t stop us, and Jack Smith’s corrupt thuggery won’t stop us.

We were indeed a homogeneous society from 1790 to about 1848. The initial waves of mass migration from the Germans and Irish set the tone for all future immigration - political/social upheaval and then intense assimilation efforts (success was always mixed)
There may be some advantages to a homogeneous society, but America has never been such a society.
