ALT A look inside These Four Walls Winnipeg, March 22, 2023 – Today is a big day for People First of Canada (PFC). We are pleased to announce the premiere screening of These Four Walls. This powerful documentary traces the path of survivors of the Manitoba Developmental Centre and the class action lawsuit launched by David Weremy in his lifelong quest to close the institution he was forced to live in. The film will have a private screening tonight at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) followed by a panel discussion. Over 300 people will join the survivors and filmmakers to view this inspiring film and speak to its challenging but necessary contents. These Four Walls aims to ensure that all institutions in our country close and remain closed for good. The film is also a call to action for all of us, that the work is not yet done. Closing large-scale institutions is only a step in the bigger picture. If people with disabilities do not have choice and control over their own lives
