Child sex abuse entered this governor's race before the Acton mother ad (which did not discuss Acton's alleged sexual abuse) ever leaked. The Acton campaign used SA to try to score political points on Ramaswamy. On Oct. 15, reports showed a man in a Ramaswamy property tax ad is a registered sex offender. The Ramaswamy campaign says it did not know and cut him from the ad immediately upon learning. The Acton campaign could have said nothing. It did not. It sent out a press release saying Ramaswamy was "platforming a convicted child sex predator." Then it attacked the recut ad because man's wife was still in it. That is the Acton campaign platforming abuse. The victims did not sign up for a governor's race. When Amy's past comes up, the Acton campaign argues that every mention of abuse makes the victim relive it. If that's true, then why didn't the Acton campaign pass on the chance to use SA to score political points? Days later, the Ramaswamy ad with Acton's mother leaked while the campaign was still testing it with voters. Now Acton's team says Ramaswamy is using abuse as a political weapon.
