Some people see the world and let it inform their politics. These are normal people. Some people let their politics skew the way they see the world. These are idiot people. Don’t be an idiot person.

I think the discomfort is less to do with the antiwoke movement and more to do with how you fear being perceived because of the people who happen to agree with you on this one issue. Many of us don’t have the luxury of caring how others perceive us. As I’ve already explained, many of the GCs you dismiss as far right are working class who have watched their neighbourhoods and communities change beyond recognition. There are parts of London that make me think Ireland is the most salvageable country on earth. These people don’t have another ten years to waste waiting for Labour or the Greens to get their shit together and call a spade a spade. So when Reform or the Conservatives come along and start addressing concerns that the left has spent years either dismissing or demonising people for raising, of course you’re going to find those with otherwise liberal views supporting them. What exactly did you expect? You claim to understand women’s struggles regardless of who they are, where they’re from or which God they believe in, yet so much of what I see from you is contempt for women who don’t share your political allegiances. You cannot claim to understand people while refusing to understand the circumstances that have shaped their politics. And that’s exactly where I think you’ve failed. In Ireland, we’ve had gay men murdered in recent years in attacks involving men who came here from outside Europe. I’ve been contacted by gay men who say they’ve been attacked, chased and harassed by newcomers. Do you seriously think these gays have the luxury of waiting for the left to stop calling them bigots for raising concerns and start taking their experiences seriously? Do you think the working class women who feel their communities have become less safe are concerned about whether their opinions might upset somebody at a feminist conference? It is an extraordinarily privileged position to sit comfortably above all of this, deciding which political concerns are respectable and which people deserve to be cast out of the movement. As with gender ideology, the consequences of migration policy are not distributed equally. Working class communities experience the changes most directly, while the people lecturing them about tolerance and writing essays are insulated from those consequences. And the irony is that people like you have spent so long throwing the label far right at anyone who refuses to toe your political line that you’ve helped make the term practically meaningless. Which is a whole other can of worms. You don’t have to agree with these people. You don’t have to vote the way they vote, but if your entire understanding of their politics begins and ends with the assumption that they’re ignorant, hateful or morally defective, you haven’t understood them at all. You’ve just found a convenient excuse not to listen.
The infighting ultimately stems from the GCs comfort with the antiwoke, populist and far right and their politics, left wing women's resistance to it, and the hostility to left wing women. What happened at FiLiA was a culmination of the GCs attacks on the left of the movement.

The best person for the job should get the job. Period. Today we tabled legislation that would ensure hiring and promotion decisions in the public sector are based on merit, not DEI policies. Mandatory workplace training will be relevant to the roles and responsibilities of the employee, instead of mandatory DEI sessions. Every Albertan deserves a fair shot, and fairness means everyone competes on the same terms.

“How can the left go around spouting National Front slogans and stil call themselves anti-racist” Excellent thread from @skedeschi .

How has a country so attuned to micro-aggessions and minor dog whistles desensitised itself to antisemitism to a point that a Green Party conference is now evocative of a national front rally in the 1980s? 18/24

It wasn't the right who came after our livelihoods. It wasn't the right who celebrated the murder and rape spree on October 7th. It wasn't the right who served teenage girls up to grooming gangs on a fucking platter.
The movement I spend 8 years of my life helping to buid got captured by the far right. And I'm not bitter, I'm pissed off. And calling pissed off women 'bitter' is misogyny.

I’m just wondering when Mark Carney will remember his actual job is to protect and improve the livelihoods of Canadians here at home instead of holding meaningless gabfests with foreign countries. Are we better off than we were 18 months ago? No, in fact things have gotten worse.

Eventually Canada will have a “strategic partnership” with every country in the world, and the term will be meaningless.

Sex work is work that many women, and men, willingly choose. Politicians should work to enact laws to protect those who are being exploited however they should not over reach into impacting bodily autonomy by claiming all sex work is not true consent. Just objectively untrue.

This is becoming absolutely ridiculous. Just a quick update on the case, I’ve received a phone call from the Metropolitan Police informing me that the case has been dropped with no further action. I’ve been arrested seven times simply for expressing my views, yet I’ve never been charged. Just endless stress, anxiety, and nights spent in a cell.

There’s a HRT shortage in the UK 🇬🇧 Women are once again left hunting pharmacies for HRT while the same estradiol is handed out so men can grow tits and pretend they’re women. Real women’s hot flushes, bone density and sleep come second to male entitlement. Every. Single. Time.

Never trust anyone who is invested in denying, weakening or forbidding the bond that mothers have with their children. There's always noncery afoot somewhere in there.
Because their so-called "maternal instincts" are a myth designed to entrap and oppress them. What is the meaning of feminism if all you end up doing is taking more and more of what pertains to gender and attributing it to sexed nature? The end point of this is pure conservatism.

I will never forget the day that I watched Democrats refuse to stand for Iryna Zarutska’s mother at the State of the Union. It was so shockingly evil, that even while I watched it, I could barely believe it. Honestly, I still can’t. It was so insanely radicalizing.

The BBC needs the BioWare treatment. Turn the licence fee into a sub and the people who genuinely enjoy Left-leaning propaganda can fund them - see how long they last. The rest of us can enjoy the inevitable collapse.

Everyone who defends this ad is on the left because destruction of the family is central to leftist ideology.
Everyone says “the right hates this because they are pedophiles,” but I think it’s more than that. This ad struck a nerve with the party of “my kids won’t talk to me/won’t let me see my grandkids.” They resent this ad for saying “grandparents aren’t entitled to anything.”

Then make a video showing the adults who are the most likely to be an abuser not the least likely.
The vast majority of children who are sexually abused get abused by an adult that they are related to. Teaching children about bodily autonomy and consent shouldn’t be a controversial thing. Unless of course… you want to touch children without them knowing they can say no? 🤨

These men never stop posting about their sexual fantasies. No-one needs a "genital inspection' to ascertain what sex they are . The only reason you pervs keep mentioning it is because you would like nothing better than a genital inspection .
Feminism fought to stop women from being defined by their genitals. Now gender critics are obsessed with inspecting them. Nothing screams women's liberation quite like demanding strangers prove what's between their legs. Patriarchy called. It wants its playbook back.
