We are incredibly grateful to @PeterKLamb for providing time in his busy schedule yesterday. @unitetheunion aviation members from 12 airports covering a wide range of job roles attended the session to discuss the Abuse Doesn’t Fly campaign, which started in Scotland at the beginning of 2026 and has now spread across the entire aviation sector. Our members are committed to drive their campaign across the line and get tangible changes to protect workers from abuse and violence. If any MPs are interested in speaking to constituents to get their first hand experience on what it’s really like to work in aviation in 2026 then get in touch. [email protected]

🧵 Wow - this article is bordering on unhinged! Apparently the BBC is akin to a “North Korean re-education camp” for teaching children about net-zero and covering both the pros AND cons of immigration Join me for a masterclass in cherry-picking and context stripping to brainwash your own readers👍🏻

Oh boy, are the Right excited by this graph recently published by The Economist! And of course none of them has bothered to read the article itself (TBF, it is behind a paywall!). So as always, let's add a little context and explain why these kinds of comparisons are so problematic 🧵1/25

450 million currently have the right to settle in Amsterdam. But don’t. The full 69.5 million population of the UK plus the full 5.5 million population of Ireland currently have the right to work and settle in Brighton. But don’t. Reform are being very silly, again.
🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨 Andy Burnham has admitted he wants open door immigration with the EU. Freedom of movement means 450 million people will be able to move to the UK with no powers to stop them. Why is Burnham so determined to open the floodgates once again?

Simon likes to claim that she speaks for her area and that AFE is defending the community against unvetted men being housed in Salford. But just who are the men that Ashlea Simon surrounds herself with? Are the men of AFE just salt-of-the-earth locals with legitimate concerns? Let's take a look:

No, @elonmusk, the U.S. stopped funding Ukraine last year. In fact, U.S. companies make money on American weapons for which we Europeans pay. The more you meddle in our politics and the more you play politics with your products, the more you damage your brand.
Replying to @elonmusk
And some of that US taxpayer money comes back through multiple laundry machines to fund political campaigns in America, which is why you see some politicians caring more about Ukraine than America!

Here’s the video I was hoping to get: our Royal Blossom train overtaking the steam heritage train! Starting at the rear, the first carriage you see is the new Beyond Horizon carriage with 1st and 2nd Class seats. Next come the red JR West sleeper carriages, the blue OTOP carriages and the regular 3rd Class carriages. Leading the train are Pacific steam locomotives Nos. 824 and 850. #ThaiTrainGuide #RoyalBlossom #BeyondHorizon #SteamTrain #Thailand

UK crime was four times higher when Oasis first played Knebworth than at last year’s reunion gigs. The collapse of crime and safer streets is one of the biggest stories of our time. But one almost never told - or believed. My take on today’s figures: comment.press/lawless

Interesting comments on this. So let's expand it. Normal Stonehenge stuff: it's complicated (& people get stuff wrong). First, I aimed “not perhaps the best look for the #Stonehenge world heritage site” mostly at the sign (at the south end of the track) 🧵 with lots of my photos

At around this point last year, Reform sat at 30%+ in the polls. Today, they sit at around 10 points below that, behind Labour and with new scandals appearing each week. This idea that Reform is still somehow on the ascendency is frankly ludicrous. They sunk massively in just one year, and it has become clear now that Racism and ethnonationalism is rife in the party.
Good Morning, If you think ITV spending £1M over a year to reveal just 5 bad apples from within the Reform party, is the end of Reform then you're clearly naive. Reform is getting stronger, not weaker. Have a good day. 🇬🇧💙

🚂 EXPLORING PRAN BURI BY TRAIN: MY FINAL OVERNIGHT STOP Yesterday I made the final train move of my eight-day research trip along the upper Southern Line. I caught Ordinary No. 254 at Khan Kradai Station, about 1.8 km from my resort at Ao Noi Bay, and travelled roughly an hour north to Pran Buri. I wanted to get closer to Bangkok before heading home, but my main reason for stopping was to investigate local transport options. Pran Buri is often suggested as a gateway to Pran Buri Beach, Pak Nam Pran, Khao Kalok and Sam Roi Yot Beach. But how easy is it to reach these places without your own transport? 🚕 Where are the taxis? When I arrived at Pran Buri Station, I couldn’t see any taxis waiting. I later asked around and was told there are usually two drivers, although they don’t necessarily meet every train. I returned to watch the next arrival and again saw no obvious taxis, although one backpacker appeared to have arranged a pickup in advance. 📱 What about Grab? Grab does seem to operate in Pran Buri. I saw motorcycle riders delivering food, and when I checked the app for a car from the station to Pak Nam Pran Beach, it quoted 160 baht for a 17-minute journey. However, seeing a fare doesn’t guarantee that a driver will accept your booking. I’ve tried this before in smaller towns and had no drivers accept my request. So Grab is worth trying, but I wouldn’t rely on it without a backup plan. 🚆 Why do more trains stop at Wang Phong? Something else surprised me. Only six trains a day stop at Pran Buri, three in each direction. Yet Wang Phong Station, just 2.79 km further north, has 24 trains stopping there, including most of the sleeper services. I cycled over to investigate and found a station that seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. Someone suggested that the nearby army camp might explain the additional stops, although I’m not entirely convinced. I also spotted an old railway water tank, once used to supply steam locomotives. Perhaps Wang Phong was historically an important operational stop and the stopping pattern has continued. 🛺 A useful local transport contact At Wang Phong I found a lone electric tuk-tuk driver waiting for passengers. I asked whether he could take people to Pran Buri Beach or Sam Roi Yot Beach. He quoted around 300 baht for a transfer to the latter and said he also has a car for longer journeys or anyone wanting more comfort. 📞 081-300-6050 He recommended calling in advance rather than expecting him to be waiting at the station. This is exactly the kind of practical information I’ve been collecting throughout this trip. 🏨 Where I stayed I spent the night at Ban Pran Boutique Resort, which appears to be the closest place to Pran Buri Station. It was very quiet. In fact, I think I might have been the only guest. Breakfast wasn’t included. ☕ Coffee and trains I also went looking for Pran Buri’s old Saturday walking street, but it seems that no longer operates as it once did. There’s another night market area near the railway bridge over the Pran Buri River, which I was told opens daily. Nearby is Sa-Pan-Dum Cafe, a pleasant place to relax with a coffee or a meal while watching trains crossing the bridge. 🚂 Heading home I checked out this morning and I am now onboard early-morning Ordinary No. 252, heading back to Bangkok. Another five hours in 3rd Class! This trip has reinforced something I’ve suspected for a long time. There are some lovely places near Thailand’s smaller railway stations, but finding transport for those final few kilometres can be the biggest challenge. I’ll be bringing everything together on Thai Tracks to help other travellers plan similar journeys. 🔗 thaitracks.com/ Have you used Pran Buri or Wang Phong Station? How did you get to your destination? I’d particularly like to know why so many more trains stop at Wang Phong. #ThailandByRail #ThaiTracks #ThailandByTrain #RailTourism #CyclingThailand #Thailand #รถไฟไทย #ปราณบุรี #วังก์พง

This guy utterly dismantles the populist politics of Reform and Restore in 90 seconds. It’s actually quite beautiful. Take decades of deep-rooted problems in Britain and convince people that a relatively tiny proportion of the population is responsible for all of them. Housing, the NHS, crime. Blame illegal migrants for everything. Suddenly, you don’t need credible solutions to the housing crisis, NHS waiting lists or crime. You just need increasingly extreme policies on immigration. And by the time people realise you never had meaningful answers to the vast majority of Britain’s problems, you’re already in power, handing out tax cuts to your donors.

There’s no diesel coming from Russia. The purpose of this is so Trump can start blaming Ukraine for the price of diesel in a week claiming that Russia can’t deliver the agreed upon amounts because of Ukrainian strikes. The goal is to convince you Ukraine’s costing you money….
