Here is just a fraction of how space exploration has not only helped the human race, but saved many countless lives, with just 0.4% of the federal budget.

25 years ago, Seattle seemed like the city of the future. I guess the whole PNW peaked around then. People loved it, they wouldn’t shut up about it. I loved going up there, anywhere from Victoria/Vancouver to Portland. What a choice to make, to wreck that whole beautiful region.
Around half of Seattle businesses report that are considering moving or shrinking, blaming a business environment that they say is getting worse and don’t believe it looks like it will get better, according to a survey from the Downtown Seattle Association and Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. kiro7.com/news/local/survey-…

Security footage didn’t invent the behavior, it just exposed it.

Always check your children's meal when you buy food at a drive-thru fast food restaurant.
My advice is to cut a piece of the item & smell it before giving it to a child to eat.
I bought some burgers that looked good from the outside but when I took a bite ~ the beef was spoiled & smelled gross! I had to spit it out & throw all the food away!
Then I researched the phone number of the restaurant to call & let them know their beef was spoiled.
They offered to return money but I told them I wasn't calling to get money back, I only wanted them to check their food & throw out the meat so that kids won't get sick if their parents buy them burgers there.

I am convinced @seattletimes reporters have been given a command to lie about the initiative to protect girls’ sports. They published an unchallenged quote from a “doctor” who said there is no proof boys have a physical advantage over girls. So how do you explain a runner going from 76th ranked to 2nd ranked IN THE SAME MONTH after switching to the girls’ team? Absolute morons.

🚨ALERT: The editors of the journal Men and Masculinities will no longer allow authors to refer to individuals as being "male."
If an author uses the term, they should "specify which dimension(s) of sex are at issue, since sex itself refers to several only loosely correlated dimensions rather than a single underlying fact."
For example, trans-identifying male swimmer Lia Thomas must be referred to as a woman, and his maleness, if mentioned at all, must be attached to specific traits, like genitals, hormones, and chromosomes.
You cannot call Lia Thomas a "male" in this journal, but a woman with "male genitals" and "male sex chromosomes."
The first author of this editorial—the Managing Editor of Men and Masculinities, Tristen Kade—is a woman who identifies as a man.
The model of biological sex this editorial is pushing is what I refer to in my scholarly article "Why There Are Exactly Two Sexes" as the "multi-level" sex model. This model is not merely wrong—it is self-refuting.
From my article:
"Traits are labeled 'male-typical' or 'female-typical' only because they correlate with organisms already identified as male or female—an identification that, in anisogamous species, is made ultimately by reference to gametes."

"We were only going to do 65% of our fleet, but once we put it on our first aircraft, I got these anecdotes saying, 'I'm switching to flying regional 'cause it's got Starlink.' Then I was like, 'Holy cow, we gotta go all-in.'"

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Russia is resorting to stealth kidnapping now, to fill its frontline ranks...
Since a MASS military drive in 2022, Russia has relied mostly on financial incentives to lure soldiers to fight.
But now it seems that’s quietly giving way to coercion and kidnapping.
Families say men with severe health problems, debt, or drinking problems are being grabbed off the street.
One man in his late 50s was taken outside his apartment in July. By late September, he was missing in action. His family says he could barely walk.
Another was snatched drunk in mid-July. He's missing, too.
Russia spent years saying it was different from Ukraine for avoiding forced mobilization. Now it is doing the exact same thing.

BREAKING: The US Department of Justice is reviewing the forceful ejection of fans wearing XX-XY t-shirts at Friday's Portland Thorns game.
"The Justice Department is aware of these reports and will review the matter thoroughly. Where the facts and the law warrant action, the Department will not hesitate to act."
A DOJ spokesperson also told me, "Based on what is known so far, the conduct described appears to raise viewpoint discrimination and First Amendment questions rather than sex discrimination. The Department is reviewing it."

@elonmusk Elon, I want to tell you something as a Ukrainian.
For years, many people in Ukraine admired and respected you. I was one of them. I personally saw you as a technological genius, a visionary, someone who was building the future while others were still living in the past.
And that is exactly why your growing hostility toward Ukraine is so difficult for me to understand.
Ukraine is not a perfect country. We have corruption, political failures, and many problems. Nobody denies that. But tell me, which country is perfect?
Ukraine is also a country of incredibly talented engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, developers, artists, and ordinary hardworking people. We build world-class technology, innovate under impossible conditions, value education, and have repeatedly shown the world what courage, resilience, and human dignity look like.
We are a country that voluntarily gave up the world's third-largest nuclear arsenal in exchange for security assurances.
We are a nation that stood up in 2014, during the Revolution of Dignity, because we refused to live under authoritarianism and Russian domination. We wanted freedom, democracy, and the right to choose our own future.
And today, we are fighting for that same freedom.
Every day, Ukrainian civilians are killed by Russian missiles, drones, and bombs. Children lose their parents. Parents bury their children. Entire cities are destroyed. Millions of lives have been shattered.
These people are not dying because of Zelenskyy. They are not dying because of Ukrainian corruption. They are dying because Putin chose to invade another sovereign nation and continues to wage a war against its people, cities, culture, and identity.
Yes, corruption must be fought. Yes, every dollar of international aid must be accounted for. Ukrainians themselves deserve transparency and justice more than anyone.
But corruption does not justify invasion. Political failures do not justify bombing children. And no amount of criticism of Ukraine changes who crossed the border with an invading army.
You seem to believe that giving up Donbas and Luhansk could bring peace. But why should we believe Putin would stop there?
He already violated Ukraine's sovereignty after promising to respect it. He took Crimea in 2014. He fueled war in Donbas. And in 2022, he launched a full-scale invasion.
What makes you think another territorial concession would finally satisfy him?
History has shown us what happens when democracies believe they can secure lasting peace by rewarding an aggressor with someone else's land.
We have seen this before, in Europe, in the years leading up to World War II.
Peace built on surrender to a dictator is not necessarily peace. Sometimes it is simply an invitation to the next war.
Elon, you are a man who talks about the future of humanity, about making civilization better, about taking humanity to Mars.
But what kind of future are we building if we accept that powerful dictators can erase smaller nations simply because they have more weapons?
Ukraine is not asking the world to pretend we are perfect.
We are asking the world to recognize that we have the same right to exist, to be free, and to determine our future as Americans do.
And one more thing: Ukrainians have never been your enemies. Many of us admired you, believed in your vision, and appreciated what Starlink made possible during the darkest days of this war.
That is why your words hurt more than you might realize.
You have enormous influence. Your voice can shape how millions of people understand this war.
I still want to believe that the man who dreams of advancing humanity can recognize the humanity of people fighting simply to survive.
It is not too late to stand on the right side of history.
Not on Zelenskyy's side. Not on any politician's side.
On the side of freedom. On the side of human life. On the side of a nation's right to exist.
That is all we are asking for.
