I have lost my fair share of jury trials in my career. As a matter of fact, you can watch my losses on my YouTube channel. Because I'm proud even of my losses. I have NEVER argued with or God forbid attacked jurors for their decisions. There is a line.. and Redington crossed it.

If Lindsay Clancy is found not criminally responsible, a more dangerous precedent culturally will take place.
Because where does this logic end?
There are murderers sitting in prison who endured horrific childhood abuse, neglect, rape, addiction, trauma, and severe mental illness. There are offenders with documented psychiatric disorders far more serious than anything documented in Clancy’s history. There are even sexual offenders who were themselves sexually abused as children.
Clancy did not have some long-standing documented history of severe psychotic illness before these murders. She was being treated for depression, anxiety-related symptoms, insomnia, and other mental-health complaints, while the existence and significance of psychosis became one of the central disputed issues in the case.
So if “she was struggling,” “the system failed her,” “she had intrusive thoughts,” or “she had mental-health issues” becomes enough for the public to treat someone as essentially blameless, then we are lowering the bar in a way people may not like when the next defendant is someone they find completely unsympathetic.
We cannot create one standard for the defendant you feel sorry for and another for the defendant you hate.

As a woman, a mother, and a registered nurse, I have had time to sit with Patrick’s testimony, and I am completely convinced: this was not a medical failure. Lindsay Clancy was putting on an act.
She didn’t take her medications or attend therapy because she didn’t need them.
She completely duped her husband into believing she was sick, and Patrick’s devastating testimony proves that she actively hid her non-compliance from him. That fact alone completely blows up the lawsuits against her healthcare providers.
This wasn't a woman lost to psychosis; this was a woman who actively disliked her first two children. You can see exactly who she is through her courtroom demeanor. Instead of uncontrollably sobbing, she chooses to shed a few strategic tears and actually smiles at pictures of the children whose lives she took.
She is undoubtedly mentally disturbed, but I believe that is simply in her DNA. Some people really are just born that way. This was a calculated deception, not a tragedy of the medical system. She belongs in jail, Life Without Parole, and honestly, her ultimate punishment should be exactly whatever Patrick wants it to be. He should get to decide. She ruined his whole world in 55 minutes.
