Lately I'm just trying to remember everything I possibly can. Then ask myself why these thoughts and why these memories? What is the function of my dysfunction?

I am exploring this idea in persuit of truth. I am inviting others to risk offense and offending themselves for it. If you ever looked deep into your own eyes and asked, "why am I the way I am?" then you have experienced this. How deep are you willing to go? I ty for your attn.

Some days it hits me that I’ve done nothing of any real use to anyone else. Just tapped on glasses and stumps all day because the rhythm amused me. Those end up being the best ones, and they’re rare for most people, but I need them to stay upright. Can you even imagine a life where you never hum something back or mimic a noise you heard? That’s how I get it. Not just seeing the thing, but taking on its shape for a second so it registers. Alive like steam coming off snow, or ice cracking in the morning sun.

NEW UNDERCOVER INVESTIGATION: I spent several months investigating a nationwide network of advocacy organizations and medical providers helping families continue medically transitioning their children in defiance of state laws. My investigation centers on Campaign for Southern Equality (CSE), an LGBT advocacy nonprofit that connects families with cooperating medical providers across the country. CSE has distributed over $1 million in travel grants to more than 1,200 families, plus another $1 million to partner organizations, including funding for medical appointments. With CSE's knowledge, providers in its referral network told me the ways that they circumvent state restrictions on gender-transition treatments for minors. Some discussed using alternative diagnosis codes, such as “endocrine disorder,” to facilitate prescriptions or insurance coverage. Others described mailing medications directly to families' homes or sending prescriptions to pharmacies in states where these interventions are banned. Providers also discussed conducting virtual appointments with patients in those states. Others required patients to cross state lines for telehealth but did not appear to have a reliable method for verifying their physical location. My primary undercover scenario involved an 11-year-old girl in Tennessee who had only recently begun identifying as nonbinary, with no long history of gender-related distress. The providers I shared this scenario with seemed eager to treat her. Many indicated that puberty blockers could be prescribed after an initial evaluation lasting just one to several hours. My investigation uncovered practices that may violate state and federal laws and pose medical risks to children living hundreds or thousands of miles from their treating physicians. Crazy. People are crazy. Where is all this passion for a manual transmission in the art world? Surely artists love to clutch in traffic on a hill. The true art of driving.

I see this post going around a lot, but many people seems to miss the point imho. As a premise, this is not a jab to the artist here, nor about artists against AI. It is about the industry behind. The thing is, if you are someone that can charge a lot of money for a luxury product, props to you. However I've been told that this is a "standard", and that's the problem. Imagine if every single car had the same price of a Ferrari or Lamborghini, but without the brand recognition. If you want to drive, you need to make a mortgage. Would you like that? Sure, in some American cities this would probably be cheap. Spare change. But everywhere else, that's extremely expensive. Even with a decent job, you need to save and make sacrifices. I would need to decide for example if, after months of saving, should I upgrade my PC with 2.5k or buy 10 seconds of animation. 10 seconds! The PC would help me greatly, not just for entertainment, but also many other things. What am I going to do with 10 seconds of animation? If you are rich and can afford to burn away money with luxury items, like a famous Dog shocker, good for you. But you can't expect us "poor" people to have the same reaction. Yes, quality and experience should be paid more than average, but the issue here is the average. Is this why artists are so against AI? It was never about the "human soul'', the "environment" or whatever, right? Just be honest, you all want to make luxury products for customers, not art. We live in a capitalist society after all, and that's ok, but honesty will always be received better. Just own it. Again, I have nothing against the artist in the post, just wanted to comment on the commission industry, that's all.

There seems to be some confusion amongst some people, so I will explain it as clearly as I can: Australia’s sex discrimination act was created for women, on the basis of our sex. When it was enacted in 1984 (ominous year, in hindsight) employment was a big part of it. There was a part of the act, section 7D, that allowed “special measures” where things exclusively for women weren’t even classed as discrimination, basically when it was being a woman is what actually mattered in the situation. Specific employment/opportunity provisions and… woman-only spaces fell/fall into this category. In 2013, the Gillard amendments introduced “gender identity” while taking the definitions of woman & man out of the act. Sex was never defined, but in a normal world it didn’t have to be. It could only have meant one thing (a mistake, again in hindsight). By the time the trans absurdity hit fever pitch, Australian institutions were captured. This included those meant to be the custodians of the SDA. Suddenly, all they cared about was “gender identity” aka transgender ideology. When the Tickle v Giggle case came along, it started with an Australian Human Rights Commission complaint. To settle it, aka not have it advance to federal court, I was expected to just agree with transgender ideology. I don’t. I wish I could say I completely understood the magnitude at the time, but it’s almost impossible to. You think you do, but you don’t really until it hits you like a bus. But what I did know, instinctively, was that if I folded, I couldn’t live with it, nor would it help because all it signaled was that “we” would just accept it if threatened. I found myself in a position to challenge the absurdity, and I did, because I knew not doing it would have been worse no matter what. Obviously, everyone knows now, the courts ruled against me in every way they could. From what a woman is, to 7D, to damages. I lost - and have lost - everything. But what does it mean to everyone else in reality? It means the sex discrimination commissioner told the court that the ordinary meaning of woman includes men who claim to be women, and the court accepted that. Men who claim to be women are women in Australia, via the only legislation they have to validate it. It means that for every aspect of the SDA, per the SDC’s demand, woman includes men who claim to be women. From employment to women only spaces to pregnancy protections, because of section 7D. Did we warn about this in our court submissions and arguments? Yes. That was actually our entire case. You can read it. It’s all publicly available. The high court said that we would have no possibility of success. We were arguing that women is adult human female and this matters in, tada, section 7D. That was it. The high court said “hell no way”. The high court is captured too. As it stands, due to legal precedent, a special measure for women based on sex does not provide a defense to gender identity discrimination. That means that all special measures for women fall to gender identity, which will only be used by men who claim to be women, and includes - tada - employment, and women only spaces. It means that men who claim to be women have more rights than actual women, while simultaneously taking away our rights. I don’t know how many more times I could say the “Tickle v Giggle” case is about more than “just” one app, I’ve been saying it for almost 5 years, but I will continue to do it until everyone understands. They wiped women’s rights off the map. It’s a f—ing mess. It doesn’t work. It’s incoherent. It’s ideological. It writes women out of law. It’s corruption. It’s totalitarian. It’s bullsh-t. It’s the test of any government: are you ok with legislating a lie?

Tim Sweeney is saying what many in the industry are too afraid to say publicly. You can criticize AI all you want, but harassing developers, threatening them, and trying to destroy years of their hard work simply because they use a tool you dislike is indefensible. Disagree with the technology, not someone's right to create.

Yep. They are burning down the businesses of good developers to enforce their politics. A year from now they’ll all be using AI, games will be better and made faster, and they’ll pretend their hate mob posting the death threats wasn’t wrong but merely misunderstood.

Is it legal for police to track everywhere you drive? @bennjordan compares @flocksafety to police following an innocent person's car for a month and logging every stop in a database that police nationwide can search, which would amount to stalking. @fatehinorfolk counters that he wouldn't like it either, but the Supreme Court allows police to observe anyone in public, so it doesn't violate the Fourth Amendment.
