Iran HRM recorded at least 96 executions in October 2026. Of these, 78 were carried out in secret, without public announcement.
Among those executed were three protesters detained during the January 2026 uprising. At least one woman was also executed.
Meanwhile, political prisoners, including Manouchehr Fallah, face the imminent threat of execution, as death sentences are upheld and others remain at risk.

A father of a 16-year-old daughter, political prisoner Manouchehr Fallah, 42, is at grave risk of execution. The Supreme Court has upheld his death sentence again, and his case has been referred for enforcement in Rasht.
His lawyer says the alleged incident caused no deaths or injuries.

Iranian protest detainee Shahab Zohdi has been sentenced to death for a second time following a retrial by Branch 15 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Abolghassem Salavati.
He is currently held in Qezel Hesar Prison.

Solidarity knows no borders.
The Center for Civil Liberties stands with Iranian political prisoners who have been protesting against the death penalty every Tuesday for 144 consecutive weeks.
🔴 According to UN Special Rapporteur Leopoldo Maldonado, at least 46 political prisoners and protesters have been executed in Iran since mid-March 2026. More than 100 others face imminent risk of execution.
In 2025 alone, 2,159 executions were recorded in the country — the highest annual figure since 1981, according to Amnesty International.
✊ For 144 consecutive Tuesdays, political prisoners across Iran have been holding hunger strikes to protest against the death penalty. Launched by political prisoners in January 2024, the campaign has now spread to 66 prisons.
Even behind bars, they continue to stand up for human dignity and the right to life.
On October 20, UN Special Rapporteur on freedom of opinion and expression @SRfreedex_LMG began a 24-hour hunger strike in solidarity with Iranian political prisoners. A week earlier, UN Special Rapporteur on the rights to freedom of peaceful assembly and of association @Ginitastar held a similar solidarity action.
