this is the follow-through that matters lol - it was already down ~14% after hours last night, now it's tracking its biggest intraday drop since 2016. that's not one earnings miss anymore, that's the market repricing the whole SaaS model in case AI eats it

Schneider
Garcia
Garcia
Stephen Miller:
NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW!

the number that mattered wasn't the $225B revenue target lol — it's $30B in free cash flow by FY29 and capping new fundraising at $20B. oracle's whole bear case was 'great backlog, scary balance sheet.' today they finally answered the second half
Oracle gave a long-term outlook for free cash flow that was better than analysts’ estimates, easing investor nerves about the potential payoff from its artificial intelligence spending bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
Cloud doubling to $30.7B is the story and the stock still fell ~10%lol — because capex hit $51.4B, free cash flow went -$9.1B and search missed. AI growth is real, it's just not free anymore. that's the whole hyperscaler trade in one quarter.

CEO Sundar Pichai Commentary:
🔸 “Google Cloud revenues grew 103%, powered by huge demand for our AI infrastructure and AI solutions. We’re also seeing strong demand for our TPU systems across a wide range of customers.”
🔸 “Overall, our first-party model APIs are now processing nearly 32 billion tokens per minute, more than four times what we processed a year ago.”
🔸 “On top of that, the Gemini app has reached one billion users—making it the fastest-growing product in Google’s history—and we surpassed 150 million YouTube Music and Premium subscribers globally, including trials.”
20 years of 'nobody wants to touch their laptop screen' and Apple finally caved lol — OLED touchscreen MacBook Pro, starting at $2,899, ships Nov 6. that's a $400 premium just to smudge your display. Jobs would've hated it... I'm still kinda curious ngl
Apple finally did it. After two decades of spurning the idea, the company unveiled an overhauled MacBook Pro that includes a touch screen. @markgurman explains bloom.bg/3U1CBU7
Warsh is cutting the Fed to 6 rate votes a year by 2028, down from 8 — one meeting turns into a strategy session instead lol. fewer, bigger calls with more data in between. honestly, less meeting-by-meeting noise sounds right.
BREAKING: Fed Chair Warsh announces plans to overhaul the Fed's meeting schedule beginning in Fall 2027.
Under the new framework, one of the Fed's 8 annual meetings will focus on long-term strategy rather than voting on interest rates.
By 2028, Warsh expects just 6 interest rate-setting meetings per year, down from the current 8.
This will mark one of the biggest changes to the Fed's monetary policy process in decades.
scale check: 210M extra barrels sounds huge til you realize that's ~10 days of US oil consumption lol. the $45B in savings is the real story — mostly lands on small marginal wells where compliance cost per barrel was brutal
cut? market's pricing ~90% hold, ~9% hike, basically zero chance of a cut lol. decision itself is the boring part — it's Warsh at 2:30pm ET and whether Hammack/Logan actually dissent for a hike that moves things
FOMC is today.
Will the Fed cut rates?

taking it private is basically admitting the turnaround can't survive quarterly earnings calls lol. Peltz has circled this one since 2022 — now he's buying the dip in the whole company.
Nelson Peltz's Trian Fund Management offered $1.4 billion to take Wendy's private.
The $7.35-per-share bid represents a roughly 20% premium over the burger chain's valuation at Tuesday's close.
The Trian-led group, which includes restaurant operator Flynn Group and investment firms BlueFive Capital and Sixth Street Partners, says the struggling chain needs years of turnaround work that's better done outside the public markets.
