The current war is Iran's worst-case scenario: A joint US-Israeli assault rather than independent strikes, in full force rather than limited action, and lasting weeks and not days.

The Iran war must be one of the most one-sided conflicts in history. The damage suffered by Iran is 100 times greater than anything it was able to inflict. Much of Tehran's military power has been demolished in less than 2 weeks, thousands of major Iranian regime assets were destroyed, and dozens of top Iranian leaders and commanders are dead. Yes, the regime may not fall just yet, but prospects of ultimate survival seem low. In any case, that's hardly an actual victory, just an artificial "achievement" to make the losing side feel better. That there's even a "debate" on who's winning the war tells you more about the current state of the world than actual reality. In reality, Iran is being pounded by two military powers, unable to stop any of it.

Iran War - Strategic Insights: Based on early performance, Iran has failed to restore or improve its military capabilities after the 2025 war and remains highly vulnerable. Air defenses are largely ineffective and ability to protect top leadership is extremely low. Tehran's strategic analysis continue to be disastrous. Iran's leadership failed to prevent a massive US-Israeli assault, continued to engage in useless diplomatic moves, and was surprised by Israel’s opening shot despite being on alert for long weeks. The Iran axis has hardly contributed to the war so far. Attacks by the Houthis and Hezbollah are still possible, but the Iranian proxy network failed in its main mission: serving as a major deterrent factor. Iran is being heavily bombed for nearly 24 hours now while its allies mostly sit and watch. Moving forward, Iran will have to overcome further pounding of key military sites and regime assets, which will leave it even weaker, while public anger is at an all-time high and the economy is broken. The Iranian regime, assuming it survives in some form, will continue to face a deep crisis with seemingly zero ability to solve mounting problems and structural strategic weakness. Tehran faces ongoing collapse, slow or fast, with no solutions. At this point it seems the only thing that can save the regime is a leadership shift, with takeover by elements willing to submit to US demands and change direction sharply. If this happens, it will not be the same Iran. One way or another, the Iranian regime that terrorized the region for over 40 years is reaching the end of the road. Tehran invested tremendous efforts to destroy Israel but ultimately is destroying itself, as its power base and regional axis collapse.

ISRAEL VS TURKEY: A very interesting report by journalist @shailevy6 says IDF blocked Turkish efforts to deploy combat aircraft to bases in Syria. Israel made clear in overt and covert ways that a permanent Turkish air presence in Syria would cross a red line. The Israeli Air Force also stepped up its visible presence around Cyprus to deter Turkey and preserve Israel’s air superiority. According to foreign reports, Israeli jets are regularly flying north of Cyprus, an area Turkey views as its strategic backyard. A senior military source confirmed this activity. Turkey responded with flights south of Cyprus, aimed at signalling control of the maritime space & challenging Israeli monitoring systems. This story is far from over.

Iran’s air defense collapse The effectiveness of Iran’s massive air defense network in the war vs Israel was close to zero, says INSS report. Analysts concluded that Iran’s defense system hardly functioned at all. Israeli and US aircraft achieved complete air superiority and near-total freedom of action over Tehran and all other Iranian sites. All Israeli fighter jets returned safely. Iran reportedly managed to down just a few drones. The reasons: Iranian shock due to early surprise and hits on senior commanders, plus rapid destruction of major air defense assets via stand-off & precision weapons, loitering munitions, and agents on the ground. Israel also made heavy use of electronic and cyber warfare.
